I am a Mobile Studio Specialist, which means I normally come to your home, but I can provide a suitable venue or offer you a location shoot. A typical space needed for a home shoot would be 10 x 12 feet (3 x 4 metres) if you want full length and backgrounds. Portraits require from 8 x 8 feet and shoots using your own furniture, props and background require little or no additional space.
My normal coverage area is South Wales, from Carmarthen in the West to Monmouth in the East, and from Cardiff in the South to Tredegar in the North. I occasionally extend this area for the right model, and for shoots with expenses, I travel anywhere.
I cover all genres and types of photography, including commercial, portrait, fashion, lingerie, boudoir, swimwear, glamour, nude and adult.
A photo shoot should be an enjoyable experience and all parties involved should have fun doing it, otherwise it will show in the final results.
Chaperones are welcome, either in the same room, or preferably in another room for improved rapport. If you require a chaperone and you don't have anyone available, I can supply one for you.
I have additional online model portfolios at http://studioteq.net-model.com/ and http://www.modelmayhem.com/studioteq
I may accept Time for Prints/CD (TFP/TFCD) commissions from any model wishing to expand their portfolio in any work type, genre and style, if I think it will help my portfolio. Otherwise, I accept portfolio commissions on a paid and part pay basis, with prices starting from as low as £35.
I do not contact or use pay models unless I have a pre-arranged contract or sale for the photographs; however like most photographers, when I look for a pay model, I contact models I have already worked with on a TFP/TFCD basis first.
If I contact you with an offer of a TFCD shoot, you will receive several professionally edited images from the shoot to extend your own portfolio. I usually expect you to be able to do your own make-up for shoots, but if that is an issue, please inform me and make-up artists may be provided. I do not pay travelling expenses for anyone coming to a TFCD shoot at a venue of my choice; likewise I do not expect travel expenses if I come to you, unless you are outside my normal coverage area.
In all circumstances, you will be asked to sign a Model Release Form before the shoot takes place and you will be required to provide proof of age and identity.
I offer professionally produced and Photoshop edited Model Portfolio Books to a high standard, along with commercial and portrait photography in many styles. Current prices for photography and canvas, poster and gift printing can be found on my website http://www.studioteq.com/.
I expect all models to act professionally and turn up to a shoot on time. I regard myself as extremely professional and I do not let people down, so I expect the same courtesy in return. I will always confirm and re-confirm several times before a shoot to prevent lack of communication issues.
Due to the number of late cancellations and No Shows I've had, if I hire a venue for a TFP/TFCD shoot, I will charge a deposit that must be paid before the shoot is deemed as fully booked. This deposit is fully refundable when the shoot ends, or the shoot is cancelled more than two working days prior to the agreed shoot date. The deposit will also be refunded if the model cancels less than two working days before a shoot and I can rebook the slot at short notice, otherwise the deposit is forfeited. A cancellation on the day of a shoot or not turning up are both classed as a “No Show” and the deposit will be forfeited, in addition, the model’s online portfolio will be given a true reference of the arrangements made and the outcome.
If we do get to work with one another, I am sure you will be very pleased with the results.
Semi-professional for many years, including a period as a full-time professional.
I have experience of most genres and styles in both the commercial and private sectors and I can quickly adapt, allowing me to create what the client requires, as well as impose my own style or take on the shoot.
Highly experienced with Photoshop and other image manipulation tools.
I have taught photography at the Talbot Community Centre in Kenfig Hill and I have been the chairman of Pyle & Porthcawl Photographic Society since2010.
I am currently not shooting due to ill health.
