I have used this studio several times over the last couple of years for a variety of shoots and have never been disappointed with both the equipment/props available and the help given by Brian. For me, it's worth the hours drive to use a great studio like this and I have no hesitation in recommending it to photographers and models alike.
I had a truly awesome shoot at the studio, the day was filled with exciting and innovative challenges and was one of those shoots where you are just very much into the great prolific flow before realising time has disappeared before your eyes!
Studio is brilliant - warm and comfortable with so many fab sets and facilities.
I definitely recommend.
Had my second shoot here on 3rd May with Elle Beth. We were able to get some great images out in the woods & by the lake, then in the studio. All the time supported by the owner, Brian. Really helpful as lookout, reflected holder, advisor, lighting expert, silk rigger and all round great bloke. The studio is well equipped with lights, hoop, performance silk, rope & swing, outfits, furniture, props, only the model, tog & camera needed. Really great place to shoot.
I have just done another 2 day Studio Days at The Cottage Studio in West Sussex last weekend after my previous one in April went so well.
Brian is very accomodating and has everything you need and more in his studio. Infinity Curve/Black backdrop for art-nude, fashion shots. A bed for glamour/lingerie shots, silks, hoop and trapezes for performers or those daring to have a go...they make excellent pictures. He has a balustrade and pillar which look brilliant for fashion or art nude images. The natural light window upstairs is beautiful for some soft lingerie/headshots.
He has a clean toilet and the dressing room is amazing, lovely mirror area with lights so you can see what you are doing, a sink and wash area if needed, a variety of toiletries, hair spray and make-up if needed plus props and a huge wardrobe of clothes and accessories. There is nothing more you could want at a Studio than at The Cottage. I love working there and looking forward to another in the future :)
Thank You, Tillie x
I had my first studio day shoot at The Cottage Studio owned by Brian a couple of days ago...
It has been a great success, Brian is a great host and he always made sure that everyone is happy...and provided drinks all the time :)
The studio is well equipped with many props and backdrops.
I had a great time at the studio and I will definitely go back there soon!
Highly recommended studio!
Thank you Brian
The Cottage Studio is a really great studio all round, and Brian the studio owner makes it even more worth every penny.
The studio is large with a high ceiling and has so many possibilities, with a great lighting set up and all the light modifiers you could ever wish for, and Brian's fantastic and friendly help means photographers can easily get exactly what they want, no matter how new they are.
The studio is one of the best equipped I've ever seen. All the equipment is in mint condition, and there are so many possibilities.
Brian has a large selection of props including dancepole, trapeze, bed set, aerial hoop and acrobatic silks. Also a selection of interesting clothing and accessories, a well equipped and comfortable dressing room and parking.
The surrounding area has secluded areas of natural beauty including a woodland with bluebells in the summer and a lake.
Brian is a very helpful and friendly guy, with a great deal of photographic knowledge and good sense of humour. And he makes a good cuppa!
He takes a lot of time ensuring the studio is clean and tidy, comfortable, warm and safe.
Great value for money, couldn't recommend it more!
Hope to be working there again soon!
The Cottage Studio is one of my favourite studios in the UK, and I always thoroughly enjoy working there! Brian the studio owner is welcoming and friendly, very knowledgable about lighting and photography, and is always on hand to help when ever he is needed... He also makes a brilliant cup of tea, and makes sure the studio is warm and toasty in winter! The studio itself is large enough for a giant dancer like me to fly around and never escape the backdrop, you dont find that in many studios!!! It also has excellent facilities, aerial equipment such as the hoop, silks, and trapeze, as well as a dancing pole, and stacks of clothing, wigs, accessories, and props, for almost any idea you have. As well as all that, its one of the only studios in the south where you have the option to shoot from an elevated platform, giving a unique opportunity to get shots you simply cant get at other studios! I thoroughly recommend the Cottage studio and Brian to everyone!
Had my first shoot at Cottage Studios today, LOVED IT. its a lovely studio with many props, a great dressing room, lots of light variety, and really nice coffee!
am already thinking about what we can use for our next shoot :)
plus Brian is an amazing photographer!
I just did two back to back studio days at Brian's studio. Both days sold out, in no small part due to Brian's assistance in promotions. It's a beautiful studio with plenty of space, dozens of props, a truly impressive range of aerial equipment, and adequate heating. Brian is a friendly and helpful host as well. I really couldn't recommend the studio more.
I have worked at The Cottage Studio many times now, it is a lovely warm studio, with great equipment and props. Brian is always on hand to help, and makes a good coffee!!
There is a lovely private changing room which I like to. I would highly recommend hiring The Cottage Studio and always look forward to working there.
Had the pleasure of meeting Brian and working at The Cottage Studio for the first time last night.
Huge wardrobe and loads of lighting equipment, a very welcoming studio.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this studio to others.
Had a great first shoot with Chloe at this studio today. Brian was very helpful to ensure I got the right images that I wanted. There are lots of props and accessories, so I highly recommend booking this studio for a shoot.
My first shoot at this studio was on Saturday with Chloe89. The studio is packed with props, outfits and backdrops. Loads of working locations and plenty of lighting (with every attachment under the sun). Certainly the best equipped studio i have worked in and with brian always on hand to help with organising sets and lighting in a friendly knowledgable manor, but never imposing or intrusive.
Although an hours drive away I will be choosing this studio over local ones, for its sheer range.
I'm a huge fan of the Cottage Studio, in part because it's a great space with masses of height (which I love, because I'm incredibly tall and I like to stand en pointe). It has wonderful props which inspire me every time I work there, and its a really comfortable environment to work in. The other reason I love the Cottage Studio is because Brian is just so helpful, both to the photographers who've booked me there, and to the models themselves. I never hesitate to recommend Brian and his studio, and shall hope to work there often in the future.
As usual another fine shoot set up by Brian with Ivory Flame as the model, I asked about a lighting idea to Brian and he set it up quickly. The resulting images of Holly were stunning.
Wholeheartedly recommended, professional, good atmosphere, communication, support and tea.
I arranged this shoot at the Cottage Studio for a group of six amateur photographers and Brian, from the studio, recommended Chloe for the model; a really great choice. The studio is very well stocked with props and equipment and Brian is a very willing helper with lights and backdrops. Even with six of us the four hour shoot provided us with a lot of good images. I would certainly like to work at The Cottage Studio again.
