Being really pedantic, I should say that one does not have "right of way" instead the owner "generously" allows the public to cross their land. These are known as permissive footpaths. But operating from the paved area next to a road it unlikely to fall into this category, it is mainly large paved areas South Bank, Paternoster Square, around City Hall etc. etc. these are permissive footpaths, and as for Trafalgar Square (where incidentally I used a tripod mounted 5 x 4 to take a shot of Viscount Stansgate otherwise know as Tony Benn), Westminster know this is money for old rope.
