Do the DM have no idea about bra sizes? If she'd have had surgery to change her from a 32A to a 36DD she'd also have to get about 4" fatter around the back to take the 36" band size. The number relates to the size of the back/underbust measurement, not the size around the boobs. Duh.
I thought this too... Idiots

So let me get this right. This girl asked the NHS to give her implants and they agreed, now the girl is getting a hard time? Why? she asked, she got. Its only a drop in the ocean in relation to the amount the NHS wastes every day. Its their fault, not hers. Fair play to her and if it makes her happy at least its less of a waste than a lot of the nonsense the NHS waste my money on. She has as much chance of being a successful model as I have, but if she comes on here at least she will be in the company of many similarly delusional people.

See, Now I agree with this, but cant help posting this ..

This angers me so much, specially as my boyfriend can't get surgery for a torn stomach muscle yet they've done this.

Poor skinny bitch has no tits lets all feel sorry for her broken dreams. I've got no tits but am I depressed? Changing her body won't change her psychological issues.

The NHS ****ing suck sometimes

Is this an exercise in modern day self promotion? Who broke the story? ... It has a touch of genius ... "Jodie Cunningham thanks taxpayer" ! Surely calculated to get on the front page ... and conveniently for Ms Cunningham, the NHS will be reluctant to comment on the story (probably aren't allow to publish details relating to an individuals treatment), so the tabloids will keep the story alive as they try to get a politician or hospital administrator to fall on their sword ... Inundated with modelling offers ... On the TV ... enjoying her 5 minutes ...

And the hammer scores a direct hit on the head of the nail...

Although in fairness a front page story can so easily be manufactured by the tabloids! "Tell me Jodie, are you grateful to the taxpayer?" Jodie: "Of course" Headline: "Jodie Cunningham thanks taxpayer" !

I always ask this one but if someone wants something done why can't they get a job and pay for it.....you can pay in installments for boob jobs. I think someone may need to get off their backside if they haven't already, i get a very strong feeling she doesn't have a job. If you've got the money then by all means do whatever you want to yourself, I'm appalled the NHS would let this go on. We had very good doctors when my dad was in hospital and it's nothing to this rubbish, how shameful.

Do they reposess them if you fail to keep up the payments?

Obviously she'll be wanting a free nose job next.

From the one "junk" newspaper article I read it seems she does indeed have a job.

(Replying to the thread in general now).

I read it and at first I thought "what a load of crap", ofcourse that is exactly the reaction the tabloid papers wants us to have. Nowadays it seems the public would rather see a figure of hate on the front cover of a magazine than somebody we can look up to and admire.

Not exactly the same but the NHS throws money around all the time, maybe not as publicly as this but I have a friend who is fairly well off - she has her own business but suffers from wheat (or it may be glucose) intollerant. I remember seeing a facebook picture she uploaded of a box crammed full of speciality food curtesy of the NHS. I'm sure if you add up all these food packages she recieves it would end up costing the NHS more to feed her than it would to give somebody cosmetic surgery. Can my friend afford her own food? - yes.. Do people jump on her for the NHS spending their money on her food - no.. They "like" the image and make positive comments about her loot of food. Food which can be obtained and bought by herself. I'm sure she isn't the only person recieving food packages which realistically she can afford to buy for herself. Perhaps the homeless would be better off pretending to be intollerant of something contained in most foods then they will also have a meal every evening.

I'm sure if the papers actually told the whole story then there would be more symapthy coming out for the lass. Shes maybe been to see specialists about her body issues, shes possibly been to scared to leave the house or lacked the confidence to actually do anything.. Who knows? we don't. We read what is there and judge based on what some shitty newspaper writes. Hell for all we know the whole "i want to be a model" could have been something the newspaper advised her to do, so she went with it.

Do I think she should have had the surgery? I really don't know because I'm not aware of the full facts. Do I think she is a slag *insert other hurtful comments* - nope - again I don't know her. Will she ever be a model? - probably. The thing which upset me wasn't just the comments aimed at her but the bloody revolting studio shots of her topless, its pretty obvious the sun wanted people to say "eww look at the scarring/what a munter" because they used pretty unattractive lighting and donet zero post processing work on her scars. We would all look like shit if somebody lit us like that, so its no surprise people are going "eww".

However after the shitty photos we have seen I don't doubt some womans magazine will get her in for a "tell all/truth" interview shwoing the story which is slightly more realistic, not only that but they will make her look 100 times better than the bloody newspapers did thats for sure.

Good luck to her.

If she's got a job then why doesn't she pay for them? I can't afford a lot of things but hey, that's life. haha
No they wouldn't reposess them but she'd get into debt like a lot of struggling mothers do out there!! I don't see why people should lose jobs and suffer and go into debt when people like her can pay for them but choose the easy route....ofcourse newspapers sensationalise stories sometimes but the operative words are NHS and free, newspapers don't negate the fact she got them for free, lol
I can understand if a larger girl was struggling with pain for all their life asked about help on the NHS but not someone because they're insecure, if i was the NHS i'd of advised her to eat more(as she was very very thin) or just accept it or pay ££££ like everyone else around her.. being insecure isn't a good enough reason for gettign freebies off our healthcare, if this America she would have no hope and it's right, lol. if she had soem kind of mental or insecurity issue then I think a doctor or a Psychologist would have been more appropriate not NHS free boob job, it isn't likely to chnage her mindset anytime soon although there will be a lot of bravado about hwo her life has dramtically changed, lol
Apparently she's got fb page stating she's got free boobs, saying hi to her 'fans' obviously as a young kid sees it as some kind of joke lol

I'm sure it says she earned £12k per year.

Which I imagine goes on bills etc.

Is it worse that she has a job and got them for nothing or if she didn't have a job and got them for nothing?

I don't agree with the decision but I'm not fully aware of the details. All I know is that when people pin their hopes on one thing changing thinking that will make everything great they are usually dissapointed. Chances are the FB page was set up by some troll just taking the piss, there are quite a lot of them on the internet.

Then again she might be full of shit - bragging and just baiting people to dislike her, its the same people who spend money on the magazines which in turn makes her money. People say there is no such thing as bad publicity, eitherway she will make money from it all.

Don't know but some people are on less than that and go through life struggling for stuff they'd love to have and can't. It's like me going to the NHS and asking for a bigger top lip because i want one lol. I would pay with my money to afford it. it does mention people are knocked back for cancer treatment and that to me quite sickening when they say its okay for a woman to have a boob job - that was the thing that got me. it's a fail on both sides but that's just my view and I'm sure everyone has their own. For NHS to fund that and then her to say I want to be like other people and famous..iiii don't know lol

the cancer issue should be disregarded... it has nothing to do with this the child's parents wanted her to be part of an America drugs trial and expected the NHS to pay for flights, hotel stays and private American health care

Not just the cancer issue, all other arguments are non sequiturs in this case unless you happen to live in Leeds and were turned down for an operation which couldn't be performed due to the allocation of funds to this op.

I'm constantly amazed that people, some 65 years after its founding, still assume that the NHS is the same all over the country in terms of funding, facilities, infrastructure etc - it's not.

Someone did make a good point re funding;

If they don't use their funding this year they get less next year. So that 4800 spent on her will mean they get it again next year, which means two people next year could get say nose jobs to correct a bad break during a car accident.
