How serious is your modelling career? If it's your only source of income don't do it unless you are a goddess... and be honest with yourself. You will not win work because of your tattoos, only lose it (generally speaking). As a tog I like ink when its a work of art not when it reflects a mid-life crisis or a childs rebellion.

For 8 & half years I "conformed" to this idea that models had to have either discreet or no tattoos because I was told over & over again I couldn't be full time if I got any more than the one that was at the top of my back, hidden by my hair (I had long hair then). I was unhappy of my appearance because of it, because it did not reflect me, my real personality or my love of tattoos, designing them, etc. So I bit the bullet & had 2 large ones done last year that are very personal to me, because I would rather be happy within myself than please photographers. I have since found that I have had just as much work coming in when it comes to shoots. Yes, some photographers won't work with me but a number of others now will. My fan base has actually grown because of my tattoos & feedback from my fans is all positive. And guess what? I'm more happy now than I have ever been with my own appearance & more confident in shooting, and that reflects the results of my pictures. Yes you may lose some work, but you'll gain some too. Do what is going to make you most happy, whether its a certain type of modelling which demands you do not have more tattoos, or getting more tattoos knowing a few photographers wont shoot with you. A person made a big impact on my life last year taught me my biggest life lesson & now my motto for life "do what makes you most happy (so long as its legal)". I just wish I had done it sooner rather than "conform" to others wishes. Good luck in whatever you choose. HoneyB xx
I find it sad that you were unhappy with your appearence "because you had no tattoos" & bewildered that with such a great figure, having them gives you confidence.
