When a model on purestorm lists Print Magazine,it is a definition not used on other websites so could I please ask ,from a photographers point of view ,which genres would it be save to assume they are looking for
For example --do they mean uk mag or photos we are taking for magazines

The work preference Print Magazine is not a 'genre' but a type of commercial modelling work like Runway (aka Catwalk) - i.e. publication in proper printed magazines rather than being posted in webzines or pages on t'internet - so there is nothing to assume.

do they mean uk mag

What makes you think models might be referring to a softcore porn classification (i.e. legal for UK Magazine publication) which died out around the change in millennium, when most models were probably too young to reach the middle shelf far less the top shelf where that stuff could be found?

My understanding is they are looking to be published in whatever levels they work, so would welcome approaches by people with relevant contacts. Could be wrong but that's how i've always seen it.

To me print magazines, means been published in a printed magazine as opposed to a an online magazine (which in my opinion is so lame its not even worth mentioning and actually shows how inexperienced someone is)

Mind you, given the fallen circulation of print media, and rise of online situations; there will be a point for all of us to make a crossover of opinion. Certainly in business terms, being highlighted in the right blogs now would be wholly preferable to featuring in even a large international magazine, we have stats to prove that pretty definitively too.
