I have tried Windows 11 and firefox to no avail - just get an error message - and have been advised by the provider to use an add on like filezilla.

Surely a web-browser should work though ?

Web browsers used to work fine until a few years ago, or at least Internet Explorer did but then changed for the worst (much to the annoyance of everyone where I work as that's how we sent links/data to clients)

I now use Total Commander, it's got a little splash screen which pesters you for registration but is fully functioning and doesn't time out.

Make sure you get Filezilla from the official website only - there have been versions knocking around on other download sites that have been infected with malware.

Another option is Winscp (if you're on Windows, as the name implies!)
