Hiya.
So I have been on this site for years, but have been quite resently... which seems to have lead to people thinking I no longer model

I have moved from London to Nottingham, so figure this review might be a good way to introduce myself to the people of the Midlands and further North that I may have not worked with before due to logistics.

Some contructive feedback on how my profile is currently looking would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

With Photos by the likes of John Tisbury what on earth possesed you to choose the picture you did to head your portfolio It's dreadful. Looks like you back is hairier than mine - and I'm hairy. I could go on but I'm surprised you even put it on your port, never mind made it the main one. I'm not too keen on the facial expression on the bath shot either Take those out and it is a completely different profile

Hiya Nils
Thanks for the feedback. As you know I dont have a hairy back, its mearly my head hair running down my back, and I guess the light making it look a little odd. But your right no one likes back hair, on men or women, and if that how it might look I should probably rethink that.
The reason I made it my main header is because I love that image, its also on my buisness cards and is the main image on the home page of my site.

Regarding my expression in the bath picture, I cant say I had ever noticed before, I get a lot of positive comments on that image but I guess most people aren't looking at my face... Now you have mentioed it your right, its not a great experesion.

And regarding Good old Tisbury, that image is pretty old now, I have short hair and no boobs in that photo so I dont think its a fair representation of how I look now for anyone  potentially looking to book me for a shoot. How ever I keep it there because I'm proud of the image. I'm working with him again next month, so hopefully I will be able to update it.

Would be fun to work with you again. Drop me a message if your interested. I'll make sure i've shaved my back

I quite like the main image (it doesn't look like a hairy back to me), it reminds me of an image I've taken (and I've made it my main image just now).

I agree with the bathtub one though... it looks like you were halfway through saying something and looks a little awkward.

Instead you could put that one off your website by Glen Richardson (I think it's his logo anyway), the one with your phoenix tattoo showing and the red curtain behind as it's a real eye catcher .

In context of my understanding, you're a bit of a legend and certainly I can recall as I started photography around 2010, one of the most popular and wish listed models around. Back then I'd have wanted to shoot with you but not really had the confidence and skills to make a good job of it assuming you'd be able to work with the big names. Right now, in the absence of rates shown, maybe people still might not think an approach is worthwhile? I'd show your rates in your blurb maybe to help with that.

Simply though, your references and work I'd seen before, still keep you in the bracket of excellent models, great face, figure, ability and variety. I think the range shown here hint in the right direction but could do with expanding a bit?

Somebody already mentioned the tisbury PIC, his stuff is not to my taste really, bit I think there are more iconic shots in your port, and probably think that your experience and versatility deserves a big heap more.

Good to see you back here though, a richer site for your attendance.

Hey… I think you have a great selection of photos. Well done for having a simple full length, front facing shot included (under 'fashion') as I think it's nice to give a straightforward photo of what you look like. I especially like your glamour nude and lingerie, which are quite seductive. You have a good mix, including the bondage and tear sheets as well. However, I am going to say, I 100% agree with Red Baron on the main photo you have! I know you don't have a hairy back, but gosh, it really does look like it! Oh, and maybe mention if you shoot from home or not? Saves some pointless enquiries (that is IF they bother to read...

Erm...I'm not Nils I'm the better looking one surpriseI take your point about the Tilsbury images but even if I am in a minority of one I still don't like that image. It is not simply the 'hairy' back effect (I was well aware what caused it) I don't really want to get drawn into critiquing the actual photograph though. If others like it fine. I'll pass the message on to the trainee frown

When I look at a model's portfolio I do so as someone who may book that model for a shoot, so I like to see what she actually looks like.

Without wanting to critique images, but picking up on a previous comment, the Tisbury photo is artistic but doesn't give me any clue about what you look like.  The main image does (and I didn't even pay any attention to a supposed 'hairy back' )

Images like this are also good to have (in my opinion) to show your face and figure:

Best regards

Thanks for taking the time to check out my site as well, I also appreciate the contructive aspect to your reply.

But with regards to my Glen Richardson images, they are a good few years old now, and my figure and hair, and tattoos have all changed quite a lot since then.

Aw thank you Profilepictures for your super lovely reply.
Really interesting to get an idea of how I am perceived. I have always been happy to work with amatures and pro's, but thats clearly not coming across. Good point about rates, I will certainly add that in, and have a re jiggle of my images.
Thanks x

Hey Amber. Thanks for the feed back. Ok so definitely need to ditch the main image that makes me look like a monkey then haha.
Good point about shooting from home. I will add that in

Thanks  for your really helpfull feedback Paul. Really appreciate it.
I'll probably ditch a few of my current images and replace them but keep in mind that I should make sure my face, and figure are shown effectivly.

The type of model i'd happily work with and having met know is nice in the flesh too...unfortunately never sorted anything out when in london and now see you've moved. i think a mix of what you look like plus what you are capable of is no bad thing
