First Single - Blue is the Colour by Chelsea Football Club.

First album was probably Slade - Old, New, Borrowed and Blue.

I still sing along with both, after a few glasses of the old dancing juice.

An ex-jukebox record that was being sold in my newsagents, where I had a paper round: 'Can You Feel It' by the Jacksons. I was 14 and it was 1982. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll' was my second the following week. They were about 35 pence each. Bargain!

Goodnight Mrs Flintstone by the Piltdown Men. I was five years old and I thought it was something to do with The Flintstones TV show. It wasn't.

Early Orbison, from my first week's wage in 1972. £2.50 it cost, and I still have it.

It would have been either The Young Ones by Cliff Richard and The Shadows, or The Savage, by the Shadows, both in 1961. Yes, that's 53 years ago!

The first record I bought was "My heart and I" by Richard Tauber. 78rpm on the Parlaphone label. Yes, I am very, very old!
