I read an extract from this book a couple of years ago- it was in one of the national newspapers. Truly moving .
We need more to be written about this so that there is greater understanding

Its out on kindle as well, the scary thing is, as a child with older parents you aint got a clue what is happening!
Trying to understand it is a nightmare.
Worth reading the whole book!

PS: I told a couple of support workers about it it - they were not aware of it & said it was brilliant once they brought it..........

Just as a slightly optimistic, counterpoint, certain age difficulties will affect us all, to different degrees, but decrepit old age is not inevitable for all, my Dad died at 87 and played the piano, hard stuff like Mozart, Chopin etc until 2 weeks before his death. I'm in a couple of Arts groups, most members at least 60+ many in 80's and a couple in 90's. they all seem to have more drive, alertness and enthusiasm than the students I taught at university!
