ANDREW APPLETON'S PERFORMANCE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP - SUNDAY 9TH JUNE - £75pp.
Saracen House Studio and Andrew Appleton are really excited to bring you into the world of stage photography...
We have taken over the Madcap Performing Arts Centre in Wolverton, Milton Keynes for a day and booked a great selection of performance artists for this one day photography workshop.
One of the big challenges with performance work is dealing with lighting and we are not going to make it easy for you. Our stage manager and lighting techies will be designing the lighting to simulate a variety of different scenarios that you are likely to encounter in this type of work.
This is some of the things you will learn:
Dealing with tricky lighting
When you can and can't use flash
How to establish the best place to stand
When it is possible to move about
plus so much more
I have been shooting performers for the last 7 years and I'll let you into my secrets for not only getting the shots but how to make money from them.
The acts include
A Live Band
You will need a DSLR that is capable of shooting at ISO 1600 and above, a lens that is between 100mm and 300mm although a wide angle can work in some situations. If you have a monopod bring that and there may be an opportunity to use flash at some point.
