I've Just Recently Got Back Into The Adult Industry.. But Since I Have, Ive Notice.. Some Photographers/Producers Wont Work With Me Because My Partner Is A Transsexual. My Partner Is In The Industry Herself.. But She Is A Tested Model Herself And Has Been In The Industry For 5years.. . Not Quite Seeing Where The Problem Is..

People are afraid of things they don't understand.

Do you mean they're declining to work with both of you together? - GG?

I guess it's the perception of the risk that her partner might be encountering in work she may be doing. I guess the view is this then has the possibility of putting Roxi and anyone who works with her at risk

It's kinda similar to male performers who have done gay porn in the past. The view is this makes them more vulnerable to certain types of infection. Often once a male performer has gone gay porn it's hard/impossible for them to get back into mainstream porn.

That'll be it.

Whilst the OPs partner may not be one, there are many high risk groups that people avoid working with due to the increased risk of infection transmission. Despite what some may think, the genuine adult industry is pretty well self-policed and risk minimised by avoiding using people who have an elevated risk of infection.

The ban on gay blood donors (recently partially lifted) is probably based on similar risk assesments.

more straight people are diagnosed with HIV each year than gay people, so tell me how do they come up with these "risk" assessments ???

Because the percentage of gay people getting it will be disproportionate to the number in the population

not necessarily when you consider the massive numbers of HIV infected in other countries such as Africa and who many of them are straight it balances it out, even in relation to population size way more straight people are infect than gay people... also gay infection rates are dropping due to good use of condoms in the gay community but rising in straight communities

but the main thing here is if there tested and proven clean then whats the problem

But we are not discussing modelling in Africa!

i still think you would be surprised over all HIV is much more rife within the straight community than the gay community now a days, with numbers still rising rapidly (in the western world as well)

its massively old fashioned, inherently wrong and completely ignorant/incorrect to think it has anything to do with homosexuality, medical stats have shown that
