Prediction for mid April next year, resovoir levels so low we will have a hosepipe ban. Anybody fancy a little bet on this?

Probably true, but understandable if you appreciate the kind of rainfall needed to resaturate the water table and what the water companies need to keep the resevoirs filled.

who cares if engerland will have no water..

scotland will have plenty of water in our resovoirs..

maybe you should start thinking that next year you should give your outdoor swimming pool a miss and washing your rollers and jags only once a month..

maybe you can start to think of stealing water from your workplace etc..fill up 2litre bottles before you leave your work each day. these can come in handy.

instead of taking a shower in your oversized ensuite goto the local swimming pool and go for a swim and you get a free shower afterwards..keeps you healthy too..

what other ideas can you do to save water.

BUT AS YOU HAVE STOLEN SCOTLAND'S OIL MAYBE YOU WILL ATTEMPT TO STEAL OUR WATER

Didnt they say that this summer...like when it rained all the time?

Dont understand how we keep getting all these water bans when we are a really wet country. Countries where it barely rains dont seem all that worried about how much water they use. Silly england

"SCOTLAND'S OIL" ?
You mean North Sea Oil that just happens to come ashore in Scotland and could just as easily be tankered straight from the well as it will be the instant you go independent.

The problem isn't how much rain we have, the problem is that it runs into the rivers and out to sea. Storage rules, just like your hard drives, when there ain't enough room, you have problems. The water table takes years, I mean years and years to get where it is, in the South East, they have pumped too much out of it and are now struggling for storage space. We have loads of the stuff down here, we pay abo¨† double the national average, or close to it, but when South West Water start flogging it off to other water companies, that is the day I will demand a refund

Did you know there's more water in Loch Ness than there is in all of the inland water holes in the whole of England. And that's just one Lake in scotland out of hundreds. What they don't like doing is using their profits to pump around the country. And anyway if they did Nessie would be easier to spot

Ever since privatiation water has become a rare and valued resource in England. Or so people have been led to believe. With the extreme rain we have had in 2012 this is obviously complete and utter hollyhocks. It would not surprise me to see another hosepipe ban in 2013. It is about time the water companies got their act together.

I have stayed in a hotel in the Sahara Desert and there was water in the taps and for a shower and no signs up asking me to conserve it!

I don't think they can afford swimming pools and jags after bailing The Royal Bank of Scotland out it's £163 Billion debt.
Scotland isn't now or ever will be independent , so it is Britains oil cheeky

Well as Scotland is part of the UK (as England paid for out trip to Central America 300 odd years ago) the oil is UK's.

Why the Anger?
