Is it normal

I'd just like to ask a question about whether it's normal to allow a photographer or videographer to touch you while making a video? I was asked to make a video and when I asked what kind he said one where he would touch me. He said it's normal for this type of think but when I said no way he then said he can provide references from other models who he has done this to. I haven't been in England long but have modelled for some years and never been asked to do the type of thing he wanted.

If you don't want him to touch you or you have even the slightest doubts about him touching you, then no. Not normal. Not at all. If he sent you the message via Purestorm, report it to the moderators and they will deal with it.

Depending on where he asked to touch you (although I would say anywhere is inappropriate), it's a style called "gonzo", which is not allowed on this site.

What type of video is it?
I'm not sure on adult things but I wouldn't let the photographer touch me.

Anything that you are not comfortable with is not acceptable. It matters not one bit that he may have 'touched' models in previous videos, if you are not happy for him to do it with you, then it's a big no.

Some photographers have a reputation for pushing models level which, in my humble opinion, is completely unprofessional and unacceptable, but it happens. If you are getting bad vibes then I would suggest you stay clear.

I wouldn't think it's normal for adult work either. Open leg seems pretty straightforward, no assistance needed and the OP's highest level is nude anyway.

Nope it is not normal. Shooting on video is no excuse and using references from other girls shouldn't sway your own decision.

Seen plenty of images which suggest otherwise from photographers who source their models via purestorm, but then I presume the shoot details were completed via e-mail.

Some really "classy" images... from no doubt upstanding gentlemen.

Which reminds me I really need to get myself a shutter release cable

No, it's not normal, unless you are filming gonzo/pov (adult level, where there is sexual interaction with photographer). This is why it's good to discuss very clearly before the shoot, what is intended. If you are not comfortable with something, be very & firm clear about not doing it. x
ps nice portfolio btw!

Whats Normal??.....Playing Devils advocate here - but at least you were asked which gives you the chance to politely decline his offer. As other's have said it sounds like gonzo which in any form (mild or stronger) isn't allowed to be arranged via this site. Gonzo is a big part of the adult industry though so in that respect it is "normal".
There is a photographer I have seen on MM who does quite interesting foot fetish shots and who often employs the gonzo type of shot (hand on the feet etc.) and while mild, this is still clearly fetish and gonzo, but it is also clear from his portfolio, that this is what he does, he is not hiding it and it seems from his portfolio that he has both respect towards and from his sitters.
Gonzo, even mild, is not seen as "normal" in the non-adult end of the market though but better to be asked before any shoot takes place than surprised on the day.

He said it's normal for this type of think but when I said no way he then said he can provide references from other models who he has done this to.

That doesn't surprise me in the least as I know models who shoot gonzo, and indeed a non-photographer colleague is married to one of them. I also know of a couple of highish profile porn producers who use the UK portfolio sites who shoot in that genre, though they don't advertise that side of their business on here. Indeed my last casting call, for a fully clothed publication shoot, attracted at least three models who provided links to past work where they shot hardcore which certainly gave the impression that it was gonzo and there were other faces I recognised from here on those sites.

Whether or not this type of shoot is "normal" is a matter of personal opinion, just as some might say that models who advertise for lesbian porn shoots are outside the norm, or those who advertise availability of/for domination and CFNM are outside the norm, but none of these area of modelling seems to be particularly uncommon among people working in the Adult genres. However as fizzy said early in this post, gonzo certainly isn't allowed on Purestorm so if somebody messaged you on here asking for that style just hit the Report button.

He wanted to video himself tickling me on my feet and sides. Never been asked this before and thought it strange.
