Hi guys, just wondering what could possibly (if anything) make my skin better. It just seems to always be bad! I've tried drinking plenty of water for months but it didn't help! I've bought expensive Clinique cleanser toner and moisturiser and used that for months, stills nothing. I even tried Vitamin E Tablets and they haven't worked Really getting me down. Its not acne, i don't know what it is. It's not all over, mainly bot sides of my lower cheeks, near my mouth and underneath my chin towards my neck area. Any advice/help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much Roxy xxx

Hey Try drinking Green Tea, it's really worked for my skin. I drink about three cups a day and it's made me feel so fresh. Lots of fruit and veg (obvs) lol Helps with weight loss too (not saying you need to lose weight) but it helps Hope this works. Alice xx

Roxy,

To set your mind at ease, it might be worth going to the doctor and asking for a referral to a dermatologist to do a proper assessment of your skin... if you explain that your profession is a model, and that your skin is compromising your work, then there should be no issue in making a referral.

Given that you say it isn't acne, you really need to find out what the condition is, and what's causing it... it could be an allergy or something similar.

You need to be asking your doctor or a skin specialist.

Remember, over cleansing your skin can cause these problems.  Always remove make up but try not to overload your skin with products or strip it of it's natural oils.

I can really sympathise with you I have a skin condition called melia ( white looking spots ) you can't pop them and once they are their their pretty much there I've lived with them on my cheeks and a massive one under my nose since I was 13 it really gets me down. I spoke to a dermatologist who was visiting my local salon ( total chance meeting) and she reccomended I get microdermabrasion to lift a layer of skin and deep cleanse, she said I could go for a skin peel if I wished but best trying the mild treatment first, so the advise you have been given so far is defiantly the best, seek help from a dermitolagist also I found Clinique is alcohol based ( or some of them are) and agrivate your situation try liz earls cleanses and moisturises the girls I work with who suffer a similar problem swear by it. My son suffers flare ups he uses baby wipes and believe it or not sudo cream and sometimes e45 which calms it down. Good luck at your docs

Carex original hand wash I swear by it I had extremely bad skin when I was 16 went tried all the products and also had skin treatments from a dermatologist i had numious courses to clear up my skin it did make it better but didnt get rid of it i tried carex one day as i ran out of face wash and i bloody glad i did as the stuff works better than anything else i tried Just to add I had acne and something else which I can't think of the name was stupidly long though what I had sounds quite similar to you but it could be different does is get itchy when scratched and loads of tiny tiny spots ? I was also put on antibiotics which helped until I come off them and they came back with a vengeance

Hey hunny.

I don't know if this will help you but my god I went to the doctors with a spot problem they said they couldn't clear , would have to let it clear up on my own . But then I tried apple cider vinegar, cotton wool and just dabbing on the affect area then just keeping the area clean . It's cleared mine up no problem . You can pick it up cheap from any supermarket . Also try changing your diet, taking supplements for skin is good and also staying off anything greasy to eat. oh and the all time lots of water xxx

Your best option is probably to go to the doctor xx but hope this helps xxx

I also wash my face with shower gel , not soap.. Unless its dove... Iv never used makeup wipes as they irritate my skin, and I always moisturise too before putting on my makeup every time xx

Hi Roxy, Im not a pharmacist but manage a health village with pharmacy. Go to your local Pharmacy (premium one selling fragrance and beauty).

They can do a proper skin analysis for you. Vichy have a skin anyliser machine that can test hydration, sebum oilyness, dryness etc.

I suspect your skin type may not be what you think it is. If the problem is not severe try using Eucerin products, which is hyrating and ph bablanced but medicated, but you must use them for at least 6 weeks!

They should have small samples for you to take to try. (if you cant get any let me know and i will arrange for some to be sent to you).Or use a proper medicated skincare. Go to your Larger Pharmacy and talk to thier experts.

If your constantly having spot breakouts talk to your doctor about prescribing Duac cream.

(I gave this advice to a model who i shoot. She constantly has breakouts and was and it worked a treat and she was over the moon!. It also saved me hours in photo shop hehe!)

Hope you find the answer.
Regards Paul

I think it might be all this stuff you keep rubbing into your skin.

Eat more fruit,

Just sayin...

Nick

PS. You still look gorgeous!

Hi Roxy, This may be a rash caused by an allergy. You may have developed an allergy on something you eat or use without knowing so your best bet is to see a doctor and get it checked out. The solution may be simpler than you think.

Well what can I say, better not it's not too much kissing is it? Now to help, wash your face with soap and water, then use a steaming hot cloth on your face to open up the skin then cool the skin with a cold cloth keeping makeup of your face. If that does not work go and see a doctor for a few simple tests. Good Luck x
