The second of a 3 part course on how to photograph people in the studio. The format of the courses is a hands-on workshop with classroom sessions in the morning and practical photo shoots in the afternoon. It is recommended that part one is covered before parts two and three, however, the courses are designed so that part three can be completed before part two.
In part two we build on what is learnt in part one by adding working with multiple studio flash heads and with “hot” lamps. In addition to more studio flash work you will work with both constant fresnel and focussing spots to create a number of different lighting set-ups. We study the use of kickers and rim lighting to give a more three dimensional effect to images. Finally we will look at a number of ways to create the popular white seamless style, including using a Lastolite HiLite, that is so popular in family portraits.
