Hi, I would really appreciate some suggestions for an idea I'm thinking of - and there's nobody very close to me. Without wanting to give too much away while I'm experimenting, I'd like to produce a (face or body-paint) look similar to the Nuba tribe - who use wood ash for white and charcoal for black colour. Needs to be powderish rather than smooth like Japanese Kabuki theatre make-up. I suppose flour and water or poster paint would be too simple?

Thankyou for the help here and by PM.

It's a bit quiet in here - which is a pity.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Thankyou for the help again (here and by PM). Snazzaroo paints and Fuller's earth. Hard work, and fortunate I was trying for a primitive looking result! Couldn't believe how the flash just cuts through the white paint.
