How do I change my username on Purestorm?
At the moment it is not possible to change usernames, we are planning to introduce a facility in the near future to allow this however there is likely to be a small charge to use it to prevent abuse of this facility.
If you desperately need to change your username now the best thing to do is cancel your existing profile and create a new one.
How do I contact a moderator?

How do I add images to my profile?
Make sure you are logged in and then click on the 'Upload Images' link on the dark grey top navigation bar
How do I remove images from my profile?
Click on 'My Images' in the grey sub-navigation menu. You will then see all your images. Underneath each image is a delete button, clicking this weill remove the image.
Is there a limit on the size of image I am allowed to upload?
There is no limit on the file size of an image however there is a limit on the width of an image. If your image has a width that is grater than 1120px then the image will be reduced in size, therefore in order for your image to keep it's original quality we advise that the width of your image is less than or equal to this.

Delete Profile
When I try and upload an image I get an error message after a long period of waiting?
The most likely reason is that the image you are trying to upload is too big, in most cases in excess of 6MB, try reducing it in size and try again
Can I avoid having my images compressed when they are uploaded?
If your image has a width of 895px or less and a height of 760px or less then no image compression will take place
What kind of things am I not allowed on my portfolio?
Please read the following extracts from the terms and conditions page:-

You agree not to post or transmit any unlawful, fake, fraudulent, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including, but not limited to, any material which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, violate the rights of others, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law. Purestorm TM has guidelines regarding posting of appropriate images, email addresses, content, and links. You agree to read and adhere to the guidelines as posted throughout the site.

8. Purestorm.com has a stated policy regarding the posting of sexually explicit images to its web pages. Sexually explicit images are not permitted on this site. Sexually explicit images include but are not limited to images of sexual intercourse, obvious states of sexual arousal (erections), or overt sexual positions (such as noticeably visable or spread genitalia). Failure to adhere to this restriction will result in the removal of the images, and the disablement of that member portfolio. Consistent misclassification (rating) or categorization of images may result in the forced setting of ratings and in gross violations may result in the removal of your portfolio.

Why has my profile been removed/suspended?
When you are suspended the reason for your suspension is sent to you via PM so you will need to log into your account and check your inbox for a message.
Suspensions are not always permanent and there may be instructions in the PM telling you how to get your profile re-instated again.
How do I report a profile to the moderators?
On every profile there is a 'report this profile' button: -
Report Profile

If you click on this you will be taken to a screen which will prompt you to enter a reason for reporting the message, enter your reason and click 'Send Report', the report will then be sent on to the moderation team.

Upgrades
How do I upgrade my profile from a free account?
Near the top right of your screen there is an upgrade link, if you click on the link you will be presented with the upgrade options, choose one and follow the instructions on screen.
Note: You must be logged into to be able to see the upgrade link
How do I upgrade my profile to a higher level if I already have an existing upgrade?
Purestorm no longer offers different levels of upgrade. It's just one level for everyone
How do I cancel my upgrade?
When you originally upgraded you will have been given a username and password to use with the Worldpay.com site, this is the company that handle our online payments. Go to their website(https://futurepay.wp3.rbsworldpay.com/fp/jsp/common/login_shopper.jsp) and login. From there you will find the option to cancel your subscription.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, unfortuantely at this time we do not accept payment by cheque or cash.
Can I post my payment to you?
Unfortuantely at this time we can't accept payments by post, however this may change in the near future

Forum
My forum post has vanished, what happened to it?
There could be a few resons for this: -
  • Your post may have been posted in the wrong forum and moved to the correct one
  • Your post might have breached our terms and conditions
  • Your post might have been relevant to a specific date which has now passed
There are other reasons but the above are the most likely
I added an image to my post but it shows as a box with a red cross in it?
There are two likely reasons for this: -
1) the web address that you entered for the image is incorrect
2) The image has been removed from the web address that you entered

How do I delete a thread that I have started?
We generally don't delete threads unless they contravene our terms and conditions, our usual course of action is to lock a thread, however if you do have a genuine reson for wanting the removal of a thread then please contact the moderation team using this link: - https://www.purestorm.com/contact
How do I report a post to the moderators?
Underneath every post there is a 'report post' button: -
Click on this and you will be taken to a screen prompting you for a reason for reporting the post, enter your reason and click 'Send Report', the post will then be reported to the moderators.

How do I know if someone has read the message I have sent them?
Go to the main Inbox page. A green tick will appear next to an envelope icon if the person has read the last message that you sent them
I accidentally deleted some emails, now I want them back. How do I do that?

Is there a limit to the number of emails I can have in my inbox?
No, you can have as many as you like in your inbox.
Will emails be deleted from my inbox after a certain amount of time?
No, you can leave them there for as long as you like while you are an active member.
How do I block someone from contacting me?
At the top right of any profile there is an icon with three dots. Click on it and it will give you a sub menu. One of the options is to block that person. Once blocked they will no longer be able to send you messages.
How do I report a message to the moderators?
When you mouse over a chat window from the main inbox page an icon with three dots will appear. Click on it and you will see a 'Report' option. Click on it to report the message.
