First of all, if I could welcome you, and thank you for viewing my Purestorm Portfolio.
I’m in my mid 60’s now, and for a significant part of my life have been a collector of art – mainly oil and watercolour paintings. It consists mainly of works by Irish artists, although it does include some by contemporary French, US and UK artists. About a dozen of the paintings are female nudes – I’ve always admired the female form, and greatly appreciate artists who can portray that well.
Over my lifetime, I’ve been in and out of photography. In 2002/2003, motivated I suppose by the art collection, I slowly started into artistic nude photography. I do this only as a leisure time activity – for relaxation - experimenting with photographic techniques, and with lighting set-ups/configurations. Basically, I set out to present female models as beautifully as I can – portraying their inner beauty as well as the external. It’s all quite captivating, with the basic focus being on artistic and fine art nude, both in colour and black/white. My first love is location photography, though I do retire to the studio in the winter, particularly during the rather inclement Irish winter. An important point, I never shoot “adult style” and have no interest in that.
I don’t publish my pictures, or sell them, as I’ve no great interest in that. I do however gain great satisfaction from making something work. I don’t do TFP/TFCD, preferring to pay models – as I can then process images in my own time. That can take a while, as I photograph digitally, using the RAW format.
Thanks also to you for taking the time to visit this page. I hope you found something of interest.
Regarding References, i have not asked any of the models with whom i've worked with to submit references here. Rather, i've linked the images to the model's portfolio -- for all eight images. Anyone planning to work with me is welcome to ask any of these models for their honest view. If that is not enough to assure you then we probably should not be thinking of working together.
