As an amateur photographer from Sheffield I would consider just about any local assignment to expand my portfolio, but I currently work full time with photography as a hobby. Saturdays and some evenings only I'm afraid.
Despite 21st century technology that we have today, I still like to shoot film and prefer to work this way. As of December 2010 I am exclusively a film shooter, having sold my all digital gear to go medium format. Film costs money, so I generally work at a slower pace than most other photographers, trying to make each shot count. If I don't like the shot I see in my viewfinder, I won't waste a fame comitting a dud image to film!
If this means anything to anyone out there, I have several vintage cameras which produce pictures of a high quality straight out of the lens. Wanna do a vintage-themed shoot? I've got the right tool for the job!
As I live in Sheffield, I would prefer to work with people in that area. However I do have a car and don't mind travelling a bit. I know the Peak District, Chesterfield, Lincoln, York and Whitby fairly well.
I do not have a studio, so on location, booked studio or your home studio only.
Been shooting film for years and dabbled with digital since 2004.
Since joining Purestorm I have worked with quite a few models on location but mostly in studios. I prefer the outdoors and feel more confident away from confined studio spaces.
I have had the opportunity to get into the UK 1940s themed events around the country, brandishing period cameras and have taken lots of vintage-look photos on film. This is what I feel I do best!
