Experience:
Since having my dSLR I have developed into (what I am told) is a very respectful photographer.In this time I have done the 'mandatory' family shot's, which include my own family, freinds familys and lately I have been getting paid to do shoots from recommendations from both, family and friends which includes shoots at their homes with my portable studio and on location. I have some Product photography experience involving 'Bridal Couture' and recently second shooting with a friend on several weddings. I have also done studio work for a friend which involved her dressing and making up the Models and me shooting them for her exam assesments, (Which she passed)!! And, just to add to things, I've been published in my local newspaper twice! My website, www.WORTHphotography.net is currently under construction, please don't be put off by the lack of images! Comments:
I have varied interests when it comes to my photography, usually it is off the cuff but as I start to get more serious I have to plan (to some degree) the shoots. I enjoy the planning of the shoot, getting together props or finding locations! I enjoy outdoor work as I love natural light and the space.I enjoy natural textures and the contrast between the opposings, as you will see in one of my uploaded photographs. The model I met on holidy, over beers and she agreed to pose for me. The plan was to make the hard looking black woman appear soft and gentle against the harsh sea wall, as I find alot of black women in photography/fashion are portrayed as 'hard' or 'masculine' anyhow when we came across the tunnel that picture appeared, not what I had originally planned but, I think a great result, and she loved it! As with most photographers I want that 'Something Special' therefore I try to turn the 'NORM' around. The bridal couture shoot I did was for a family friend who is an upcoming designer, her product for the season was Garter Belts! Most bridal shoots are done in great exotic locations or wonderfully decorated rooms, I did mine in a potting shed with garden furniture and a few old pieces of net curtain!! I love the contrast of the delicate garters against the wood background and old material,I feel it makes the product stand out with your eye being drawn to it instantly! Now, I feel its time to get more experience and a better portfolio. I want more Location and studio experience. I am looking to work with both Male and Female models, hopefully a shoot with 2 males involving a 'Boxing, back street brawl' scene, non contact of course!!. Not the 'Normal' a 'Fightclub-esque' scene, dirty faces, sweaty bodies and creating a great scence of atmosphere, dark and gritty! Pictures where men would think "WOW, they're really going for it!" and where the women would think "WOW, HOT!" I want my pictures to appeal to both genders, old and young! I would also like to create a scene of beautiful women, not just in a bikini or naked but tasteful yet totally erotic and again, pleasing to both genders! I am easy to get along with and have a very open, creative mind. I am also open to any suggestions you may have as I feel this creates a better working atmosphere between myself and the Model.
