I have over 10 years experience covering a wide range of subjects including weddings, portraits, landscapes and models Profiles.I work from my studio in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham.

Hi I am Darren Dean from Birmingham I'm mainly interested in studio work and start with the usual portrait lighting set-ups, and then vary it with high and low-key set-ups to add some drama and impact to my work, and so far I've received very positive feedback. I like to help new models to get some photos for their portfolios. In the studio, I might appear to be a bit eccentric, always striving to get the best result, but it gets a laugh from the models, so I don't mind.I like to share ideas with models,and I always listen to their input.I will never ask a model to do something they're not comfortable with,it's not good for my reputation,and if the model feels uneasy it will show in the resulting photograph.My expectations are: 1)Good communication prior to shoot 2)If for any reason you can't make a shoot,let me know in plenty of time. 3)If you wish to be chaperoned-no problem. My promise to you: 1)You will not be asked to do anything that is beyond your levels. 2)I will endeavour to make the shoot a pleasant experience. 3)We can have a break in between sets for coffee/tea,cigarettes etc.

I worked with Darren on my studio day last sunday. He was a true gent, it was the first time we had met but he made me feel comftable instantly and made me laugh for ages! He takes brillant images and has a really professional attitude. could not recommend him enough x

Have worked with Darren a couple of times but did a group shoot with him on sunday and realised just how much i dont know about photography..hes a mine of information and good sense,Great guy to work with if your looking for a good photographer...then look no further!!!

Worked with Darren on a group shoot, fantastic photographer,
Daren has a fantastic understand of studio lighting and was prepared to pass this knowledge on to all attending photographers.
I would recommend him to any model looking to get some great images.
