I am a female modeltographer who has been shooting now for nigh on 4 years intermittently. Sirensong being my modeling port, samuraisong being my MUA one. Its an interest I have held for a very long time after watching with huge curiosity the photographers I have worked with on the other side of the camera and how they work, so I finally got a camera and started taking pictures of my own. I have taken to calling myself a "faux-tographer" rather than a real one because its way too early to class myself as a "real" photographer imo. That said I have been lucky enough to have been pointed in the right direction, gained a great deal of experience so far and am lucky enough to be being given tips, hints, help and coaching by some wonderfully talented photographers along the way...something I am incredibly grateful for. I have even been know to shoot a wedding or four o.O Photoshop also helps :D Always willing to try out a new things and I have a large amount of creative and slightly unbalanced ideas waiting to happen. So far my work covers a varied genre of styles and as such I have a variety of "types" of image on my portfolio, I like variety... I am working far more now studio wise with my small lighting set up at home as well as location hand held flash work and I have been pleased with the results. I also work as an MUA and stylist so there is always an MUA on hand if needed for shoots to give you the best results that I can. 95% of my portfolio is my own MUA and styling and my MUA port can be found here http://www.purestorm.com/profile.aspx?id=Samuraisong Under 18's are welcome for fashion, portrait and some alternative work but you must be chaperoned by a parent/guardian and all shoot ideas will be discussed with them previously so they too know what to expect. I do undertake TFP work as long as A)I have the free time and B) it is not for commercial purposes and purely for portfolio or occasionally profit share. HOWEVER, I am generally VERY pushed to find shoot time due to personal commitments and some health issues so TFP is now sadly rare and you have to offer me something "special", you can decide what that is when you mail :D If the images are specifically for a "set" or website then I ask to be paid. It's always a pleasure to work with Meg. Good communications beforehand, an imaginative and expressive photographer who takes care of her models and who puts in the attention to detail to make the shoot successful. Meg's experience as a model helps her understand the process from both sides of the camera. Highly recommended.
