Really like pretty much all of your port, some of my favourite images on purestorm are on there! If I can produce stuff like that after 2 years I'll be very happy!

Thanks WilsonC, and like you, I'd a big soft spot for that image too, it went on to be bought as an album cover by a U.S client and Andromeda was and is someone who I believe is a one off and the funniest person I've ever shot with. I'm shooting that set I'd expressly
Asked her to tone down her exquisite styling towards a more street type look, but it's hard for her not to look fabulous! I wondered if I'd 'over shopped' the web version in a bout of over exuberant enthusiasm so used to less cooked version on here. I'm still happy with that decision since
I've begun to develop a bit of an allergy to sOme of the photoshop excess I've seen recently. Thanks for your response :)

Ways and I think perhaps I'm a little shy sometimes to direct the viewer strongly, preferring to leave space for interpretation. I've noted in shoots relating to product and advertising recently I need to 'lead' interpretation more strongly sometimes and take your point onboard as really

I dropped you a pm about kit, thanks for your comments, and point taken about the web page, it's really basic and I took a decision to point people
Towards my Facebook page since that seems any easy way to interact and has facilities and visibility I'd struggle to achieve on a personal website. I should have an email addy there too, but I guess I wasn't expecting all that much interest when I put it up initially. Points well taken though

Got some cracking stuff there, wish I was that good after 2 years. I'm going to echo that I like your use of scenery. I like the imaginative use of the wide angle on your main picture. The picture of Andromeda?, I think I prefer the background picture on your website to the one you chose for your portfolio, I think the former is more fluid in movement and I like the processing on it or it could be the bigger amount of space you have there that is adding to the drama.

I really like your work, it's well crafted and well thought out. You use your enviroments imaginatively and the pictures are well composed and well balanced. I also like the way you handle colour. I'm feeling too thick this morning to try and add anything specific or constructive. Just keep on doing what you are doing [happy6]

ha I got a new camera thinking it would get me more into it as I've been put off but it didn't work lol.
In terms of your portfolio I pretty much like most of it. Not 100% sure I can identify a USP but you take nice pictures, there's forms of creativity which I like and the images keep me interested. Also nice to see a photographer who doesn't just shoot T&A which pretty much 80% I guess are all about.

Had a quick look at your website too which is nice and simple. My only crit would be maybe to add a contact email on your website which goes to your email or something as someone might want to get in touch who doesn't have any of the portfolio sites and then is a bit buggered.

Oh btw as I do love some of the rural shots out of curious what cam/lens do you have now?

Its now 24 months into my ownership of a camera, and roughly the same time I've been a member here. It'd been a bit of a whim to treat myself to a 450d second hand for my birthday, I'd no idea I'd get into it so heavily in the monnths to come!

I had a look through my stuff just now, whilst looking for a contribution to the natural light thread and thought it might be about time to stick my head up and ask for critique. After all, live by the sword, die by the sword as they say.

So, feel free to say whatever occurs to you, I'm pretty thick skinned. Normal ettiquette applies concerning comments on models please, I can genuiinely say, despite the constant reports of 'no shows' 'flakes' and 'timewasters' I've never been let down by a Purestorm arrangement and have been exceptionally lucky to work with absolutely wonderful people on shoots, all of whom have left me with something special in terms of photography and development. For that, and those people, I'm eternally grateful.

Right then, fire away.
