For what its worth - many of the models who specialise in art nude can easily provide the modelling you need to help you break the ice. Its just then a matter of personal choice and convenience [why make things difficult to arrange]

The main thing is to make sure the look is what you require, they are easy to book and as a bonus, may be shooting a studio day near you. That way you can try for say three hours and then feel confident in booking up a longer day shoot. Or alternatively, just take a chance and book a day anyway. Either way, I think you will learn a hell of a lot

Not really after any big dramatic poses or anything over the top.
Aiming for a really simple body poses, and working with the light to highlight the curves.
Very similar in style to the few I've got on my profile. But with that model we were limited to topless as per her request, I would like to do some full nude shots to be able to get more poses and photos.

Oh yeah I will add Cassandra Freeman, Faye and Jen Somerfield.

I have seen really good Art Style images with all of those models.

I do not know if Vas is still working but she was excellent. I loved her pictures.

But I hope those labels aren't seen as rigid - there's a lot of crossover there, e.g. I'm booked just as frequently for dance nude, classical and more contemporary/abstract/dynamic styles, and someone like Madame Bink, for example, would be just as comfortable with fashion/some alternative styles as classical.

Tansy Blue and Darling have nice pics as to Rosewell Ivory and Chrissie Red although they are not close to you.

Taking heed of what you've said, im pbably going to look for a studio day to get my confidence in the lighting and also talking to the model about what poses i would like to try/posing during the shoot.
This model photography malarkey is a hell of a lot different to photographing tree's and bugs

Would also like to add, look at the portfolio of the studio owner as well. I have been to studio days where the studio owner has tried to "help" and the results have definitely not been great. So check to see if they know what they're talking about. An experienced model can pose independently, if you have specific ideas you'd like to try it is a good idea to save ideas and print them off/make a list on model mayhem.

If, as you say, you are inexperienced with working with models, it would be advisable to do some shoots with clothed models to become confident in all aspects of dealing with models confidently before you add the complication of nudity.

I have to say the above is poor advice.

Nude is one of the easiest disciplines to learn to light - much easier than clothed. A single light (especially a tall gridded stripbox) on a nude model is one of the best tools for learning how to place highlights and shadows, the effects of fall-off and the control of contrast. Couple that with an experienced nude model (and we all know that internet models who don't offer nude are, for the most part, lacking work opportunities and hence experience) and you're sorted.

The biggest challenge is learning how to interact with a nude model. Many photographers find this aspect the most difficult right up to the point when they do it for the first time. Just book an experienced model (there's plenty to choose from) and she'll guide through the whole process sympathetically.

Heya. Have you tried looking at studio days near you? It'd be cheaper than hiring the model and studio separately and the studio owner is normally on hand to help you out with the lights.

All of the above mentioned are great - I would add Kayleigh Lush, I'm a massive fan of her work - ridiculously bendy and produces amazing poses.

Spoilt for choice now, aren't you. :P

I'm not a photographer, but if I was to get into it and try my hand at art nude photography, I'd be looking at booking one or more of the following:

[b]Anita De Bauch[/b] - great for something a little different or vintage looking.
[b]Madame Bink[/b] - has super long hair and exceptionally pointy toes!
[b]NudeModel[/b] - dance trained, fantastic expression and posing
[b]Ivory Flame[/b] - Signature red curly hair. Also knows a lot about lighting so is great if you're not too sure on that front.
[b]Raphaella[/b] - dance trained - throws some incredible jumpy poses.
[b]Artemis Fauna[/b] (not on this site but you'll find here on the rest of them and on Facebook I believe)
[b]whosthatgirl[/b] - Not very well known but I think is just as good as the more well known girls.
[b]Roswell Ivory[/b] - she's training as a contortionist so you'll get some excellent bendy poses from her!
[b]Ella Rose[/b] - Great for the 'English Rose' look, has thousands of accessories (scarves, skirts, etc)

I would recommend me, too, but I'm not in the U.K at the moment!
