<qt>
They can all use the fancy products they want, the very best thing you could do is simply hammer the moisturiser on it for the next few days, The redness will die away naturally on it's own and no products will greatly help with that, it's just a natural progression.

By intensely moisturising you'll hopefully prevent peeling which will look 10 times worse then any strap marks and unless you're particularly sensitively skinned should hopefully become more of a tan than a burn . If it was only a thin strap, you may be lucky on the tanned skin blends through the strap mark making them much less noticeable, thus easier to touch up with either makeup or post processing.

I know you were merely popping out, no one should be a prisoner and no, you shouldn't get slated for it in the great scheme of things but unfortunately as a model you'll likely be expected to appreciate the consequences and sorry to have to say it, you'll not likely get much sympathy from most photographers I'm afraid.
</qt>

I didn't think I would get much sympathy. I will just have to be more careful next time. I think Im gonna buy some really strong sun cream. Then I will not get strap mark tan. I have been rubbing oils into it which seems to have calmed it down alot since yesterday :)

<qt>
I'm always worried when the suns out and I know I have to go into town and could burn, also lingerie shoots outside as that's a guaranteed strap mark situation. It can't be helped some times but I hope you get a solution and it's all ok x
</qt>

Thank you for your concern :)

<qt>

I've been out in the sun today and ended up with burnt shoulders and a bit of my back which has left strap marks The problem is is that Ive got a art nude shoot on friday with lots of photographers and I was wondering if this would be an easy fix in photo shop or is it going to cause the photographers lots of hassle? If you were the photographer working with me would you be annoyed or would you think this just happens in summer time and be able to edit it out?</qt>

Yeeaahh...or you could go and have a sunbed and try and tan the untanned bits, blend it in.

Try rubbing vaseline on them and sleep with some on your shoulders too...it eases the red ness and makes it much softer so it is more sunkissed....hope this helps!

I'm a fair -skinned tennis player, so the summer finds me covered in layers of factor 50 and anti-insect bite stuff (insect bites aren't pretty as well as being ITCHY!)

Even so, I tend to be a bit browner on the face, arms and legs right down to the sock line. (Highly attractive!) So I try to build up the white bits with one of those daily moisturisers which gradually tan you. It would be great to find a non-orange fake tan for special occasions; tried Sienna which was pretty good.

Planning ahead is an effort, but well worth it. Once you start going down the Oh well, it can all be photoshopped out route, well, it is like saying you don't take modelling all that seriously.

Simples.

We Goths don't tan, surprised you didn't burst into flames! (Sorry, couldn't help myself [tongue1])

I actively avoid the sun, especially mid day. Aloe Vera should help a wee bit and plenty of aftersun. It's going to be a hassle to retouch and colour adjust I'd think. May find some camouflage makeup, like the Sephora stuff?

Surely everybody knows you should never go out at all without some form of sun protection. Factor 8+ should be the minimum.
