You got pissed off before you actually clarified whether it was £30 per hour or £30 for the entire shoot? If it was somebody you already had a working relationship with (as you've said), there are far better ways of dealing with this than ranting on the forum.

If he offered you £30 then stated it was going to be a 'long shoot' that to me says he was offering you £30ph.
The shoot may have taken 10hrs [confused4]

That is the best way to do it, we all get offers for things we are not interested in.

Doesn't matter how much or how little someone is paying if its not something you are not comfortable shooting or simply don't want to shoot then you are free to say no thanks. Its always good responding to these messages because in future the photographer might have a project you are better suited to and you want to leave a good impression. In the past I have turned down tf shoots from people and they have contacted me back sometime later asking for my rates and we have went on to have fantastic shoots. I understand people sometimes don't have huge budgets to spend on models - I often feel sorry for these people and keep an eye on their portfolio to see how they are developing.. Others are just cheeky but aren't we all - if we don't ask we don't get.

Here is my view;

What in your portfolio suggests that you're worth more than £30 for a full day?

From what I am looking at, you should still be looking for TFCD work, and any money coming in is a bonus.

If you want to earn larger sums of money, improve your portfolio and it will come.

If a photographer offered me £30 for a full day shoot, I'd just say no because it's obviously from my portfolio that I can earn more.

I wouldn't go making forums, on both Purestorm and Net-Model saying it's an outrage.

I would suggest that the photographer was probably offering a TFCD shoot, with £30 as an additional gesture.

I used an earlier model!

Each digit consisted of individual illuminated numbers - arranged in rows behind each other. Hence the answer came up in 3 dimensions. At the time it cost roughly 50% more than my annual salary. [ashamed1]

I had a really quick look at your profile and I mis-read this bit: PLEASE NOTE I NOT HAPPY TO ACCEPT ANY FORM....

I didn't see the 'NOT' so it looked like PLEASE NOTE I HAPPY TO ACCEPT ANY FORM OF BONDAGE

If someone is reading your profile notes very quickly (as a lot of photographers do when they look at a lot of profile) then they could be making the same mistake.

If you read it wrong, as I did, then it looks like you're really into bondage! Maybe that's why you got the offer for £30.

Maybe try this if you don't want similar offers in the future:

Please note I am ***NOT*** happy to accept any form of bondage
