Scarlettes makes a good point. Fashion doesn't equal catwalk. Therefore a height restriction on a Fashion-only forum would be unnecessarily limiting. For example, a fashion designer I know is currently advertising via another site for models for a catwalk show who are around 5'6" - 5'7" but bustier  than the average "fashion" model, because her next collection features a lot of basques and plunging necklines. It's still fashion, but the job could appeal to some models who would otherwise be classed as glamour models. Ditto certain catalogue modelling, where the model's look and figure is more important than her height, but is still classed as fashion.

That sounds like a good idea, rather than a height restriction.

I once spent a weekend in Bath, with ass-kicking mum of 8 Miss Cath. No offence to this mummy, the play-fighting was funny. But now I might need an Osteopath! by Laya Randle-Conde

It's a good idea.  In theory that is.
Just like at the moment, where those of less intelligence are cross-posting the same precise thread in the current two forums, the same thing will most definitely happen here too.
If it's strictly fashion, whether it's glamour or not & does not include lingerie, then it has my backing.  That's about 0.0001% of the membership behind me, then!

BTW, I would like to say that I do admire those models who tailor their post's contents according to forum.  It show's initiative.

How about a "High Fashion" forum for models over 5'8" and under 112lbs,
a "Low Fashion" forum for the shorties,
and a "Plus size" forum for everyone else.
It's not Fine Art just because it's in Black and White.

Or people could just go in the search menu and pick in what they want in the drop down boxes...

+1 if its just an additional category as even if you put 5'8" size 8/10 in as casting call everyone answers.

And then

Looking at life from he cheap end of fashion photography - dependent on the clothes you are working on you may need to be even more specific about fit so only a search will do.

But ......

If it was a forum for discussion of work done, work coming up, who is working with who etc... Then that would be a good idea as it would give an idea of experience, ideas, techniques, and a genuine insight to what is actually required from people wanting to get in to the work.

It must be said that SOME  fashion models do do topless and nude.
NOT saying the OP said otherwise but I have seen a fair few big named models nude (In picture- im no stalker ;-) )

most good fashion models do topless and nude - but would be nice to have the actual fashion models separated from the glamour girls and those who do anything
