Yep, like the E.U,  keep going back until the "right" vote has been achieved, and then never revisit the topic again. "Democracy" only seems to work in one direction it seems.

There are always winners and losers in a democracy - hence the wide variety of opinions of what democracy actually is but it's usually the ones who shout loudest and longest who get their way in the end!

... or those willing to run rough-shod over our democratic freedom
When you are dead, you do not know that you are dead. All of your pain is felt by others. The same thing happens when you are stupid.

Very dangerous talk which could eventually lead to violent conflict as has happened in so many countries where hard-line nationalism has reared it's ugly head!

As I said on the previous page, the similarities with tactics used by a certain Mr Hitler to gain control of the country and rally the people to fever point are disturbing.

If you actually read it he says there are other DEMOCRATIC ways to gain independence.  I actually don't agree with him, I think a referendum is the right way to go about it.  And Nicola Sturgeon seems to agree with me so the next aim is to get a democratic mandate to call another referendum.

Your reference to Hitler in your last post is actually disgusting.

Hitler got into power 'democratically' if you read your history books, it doesn't make it right though and what the SNP are proposing does feel like history would be repeating itself by trying to undermine the political process by using devious means.

It's just a shame the SNP can't STFU and quietly abide by the Edinburgh Agreement and get on with simply running with the cards they've been dealt by the people.

If the SNP stand for election with a proposal for another referendum in their manifesto and they get elected that is the democratic process in action.  References to Hitler just make you look bitter.  Alex Salmond is the only leader of any party in the UK to hold a majority of seats in teh house he sits in.  That is the exact opposite of being a dictator.

PS Hitler bypassed the democratic process.

Seems like the SNP and YES supporters only support democracy if it favours their views and will keep lobbying for further referendums until they get the result they want which is quite frankly, an insult to those majority voters who don't want independence for Scotland.
I'll wager if the referendum had reverse voting results whereby the YES campaigners won by the same margin, the SNP wouldn't give the NO campaigners any thought for any further referendums whatsoever!

What you, the YES voters, the SNP  and Salmond are supporting by not accepting the results of the referendum is an insult to the word democracy so please don't insult other people's views just because they don't agree with your agenda!
