Shooting with Kinoflows

Any advice on shooting stills using continuous lighting ie, Kinoflows what sort of camera settings should I be looking at and how do results compare with flash, thank you for your help.

They come with daylight or tungsten tubes. You can change to either as required. You tend to get a bit of sheen from skin at close range so try a sheet of F2 to soften further.

They are good to combine with flash too. I often use them as backlights as you can easily adjust their effect by a change of shutter speed.
