So 'shared' might be a better description... unless of course, you were paid?

When grown-ups look at someone's success story and are not impressed, they ignore it (in some cases a little snigger to oneself might be appropriate). A post like yours suggests that you are something of a failure as a human being.
People's levels and targets will vary, I think this section is for people to decide what is a personal achievement.
In fact I wouldn't post anything as a success story because I just don't care what people like you think of what I find to be a personal achievement.
I'm sure your views on what 'published' means would be fascinating, perhaps you will share your success story of getting your interpretation accepted in an English Dictionary. The law regards posting a photo to facebook or twitter as publishing. Do you think a photo you are not paid for that appears in print is published, maybe even an achievement.

See if you can find any success in this story:
When I was younger (in 1978 ) I produced a photo fanzine which I photo-copied in small numbers and sold at roughly cost. That wouldn't be a success would it as it was self-published. Then I took it to record shops such as Rough Trade and got them to sell it, but that wouldn't be a success because I didn't make any money. Then someone started printing it and we produced 500 copies of each of the next 7 issues, but it was self-published and I didn't make any money so pretty much a failure. Now around this time John Peel said my fanzine was 'worth getting hold of' on his show. But I didn't make any money so not really a success (although quite pleasing actually). Anyway last year I was looking for something in Google when I came across a specialist New York bookshop offering the first two issues of my fanzine for $650. Now I don't know if they sold them but I was quite pleased that they described the fanzine as 'influential' and my photos as 'arresting'. But I didn't get a single cent from that, so another failure. Last December a friend sent me a photo of a copy of my fanzine (issue 1) on display in the massive exhibition 'Europunk' at the Cite de la musique in Paris. That was quite pleasing and some people would probably regard it as a success, but I didn't even get free entry to the exhibition... so I guess it was just a terrible failure really. What a fool I was to waste my time and money on such a project.
So I wouldn't begrudge the OP his 'success' and just hope that he still has ambitions to do better rather than becoming a sad old codger who just derides and belittles other people's achievements.
Like any dealer he was watching for the card that is so high and wild he'll never need to deal another...
