Now the floods have reached London our prime minister has said that money is no object.
Now that London is in danger,he thinks we may now have a problem.

There's a big difference between a few farmers and villages being flooded compared to the impact of what could happen if what is arguably the world's finance capital is ruined through flooding. Yes it's unfair but people really need to get a grip on why things are prioritised the way governments do.

The reality is, we can carry on quite happily while Somerset is flooded but if London's ruined for weeks on end, we'll all be RedChecker is a naughty person ed for years to come.

Maybe it's because the Thames valley is full of Tory constituencies - not really London
[although Somerset also votes Tory, there are only a limited number of voters effected.]
Like any dealer he was watching for the card that is so high and wild he'll never need to deal another...

The Home Counties is safe Tory territory, even if it were allowed to flood the constituents are intelligent enough not to vote for anyone else.

Perhaps that's why Tony Blair took the deliberate decision to implement an EU policy which would ensure that large parts of Somerset would get flooded when it rained heavily. Oh, and a lot of Somerset votes Lib Dem rather than Conservative.

Let's also not forget that if it hadn't been for the mismanagement of this country's finances by the Labour government, we probably would have had the finances to do more to combat this or at the very least not make cutbacks.

Didn't do them any good voting Liberal did it ? They still had to put up with Dave in his wellies. It would be fair to blame Tony Blair for being Bush's warmongering chum, but it seems quite desperate to blame him for what this government has or hasn't done in nearly 4 years.
Didn't you know it was all Cameron's fault for passing gay marriage ?
Where was the water that is flooding Somerset supposed to have gone ?

But do you not think that if a few farms in somerset are f*****d for a few years its not going to have serious impact on food costs for a long time?

But we have got the finances, Dave says so.
He has also admitted that the cutbacks were largely ideological.

And how much did we get ripped off when Royal Mail was given away....

Not really, we import most of our food and the supermarkets will simply drive prices for the farmers from other parts of the country even harder.
