There seems to be a fair few GWCs on PP now and it wouldn't surprise me if those requests were becoming commonplace on there.

Only this morning a model I'd worked with was complaining on FB about a photographer on there that was doing exactly that.

It's not a shock, especially if their membership numbers are factual, or close to (quoted at around 14000).

What I love is how the 23 other people on the forums seem to think the 14000 are as pure as them. And how PS is better known as Pureporn. Idiotic at best. Blind and stupid at worst.

We must all know models that always advertise one level but are up for 'higher' levels when it suits them...in fact the more naive of them often advertise different levels on different sites and somehow assume it won't be noticed!!

As for photographers pushing levels....it seems sensible for a photographer, if he has a particular concept in mind with a particular model, to just mail and put the proposal. The model can only say 'yes','no' or 'maybe'. The problem happens when the model responds with her thoughts and the photographer doesn't accept them and tries to apply pressure.

I suspect this particular problem isn't limited to this site, but it could be eradicated on here quite easily. Communication should be kept within the site, and models should be able to easily report 'level pushers' who could then be warned to desist or leave.

See that all sounds great but I would rather be on holiday with a loved one or at home working a full day and being paid for a full day - and many models I know feel the same way as I do. You can't "relax" if you are with a client and I would say 100 euros isn't very much for being away from home for a long period of time. I do think though that quite a few of the photographers see these trips as a way of getting a holiday with some pretty young females rather than to take good pictures which is a shame.

Thanks Chrissie, didn't see it that way, will rethink my trips

I think it is the photographers who go where the models are rather than the other way round. The primary asset for sites like this are the good models who many people want to shoot. Gaining and retaining such models should be the primary objective if sites like this. Many good models have left Purestorm or ceased to use the site because of too many level pushing requests. Unless this issue is addressed the site will continue to decline.

Precisely - it is only models who don't mind working with GWC's that follow the photographers.

Most models don't and are selective with who they work withincluding paid work.

We are talking about the art nude and fashion models who have to ignore lots of messages and if they get too many, start to blame the site. They may go where there are photographers BUT they don't go where there are too many level pushers and people who ask for styles they don't shoot. Those models - the photographers follow them as most are on more than one site.

Even if a model has an account here - how many are actively used annd how many take bookings here?

As I said before, glamour models are still happy to use PS but even the most loyal ones are using at least one other site now wheras a year ago all their work was here
If you have to ask why I do it, you will never understand the reason why

There are also a lot of people on purple port who are seriously Rawandthecooked is a naughty person ed off with management shenanigans, and are only still there until a viable alternative springs up, many were hopeful it would be portfora, but unless they bite the bullet on forums, and introduce some competitions and features, sadly it won't be them! Most of portforas small membership are purple porters, or the recently banned from purple port!

Basically PP is a private club for a few select friends who can do as they wish in so far as harassing people and causing a fuss without repercussions.  Anyone else joining the site has to tread a very thin line (esp. the forums) if they are to be entitled to stay and heaven forbid should you ever want to gripe about anything as it's now a case of instant dismissal.

It also wouldn't surprise me if they (or the owner at least) had access to features not visible to others, certainly you get a sense of that when certain people are always at the top of the casting list.

One thing about Purestorm is that the owner isn't an active member as it were and can remain somewhat impartial.  I like that.

I think the forums on most sites are an irrelevance - you can switch them off. If you like forums, there is something to be said for joining the best site for its forum and if you like booking models, something to be said to booking the best sites for that and just be careful if the sites are the same.

I will keep on saying it but PP's current success is mainly because it has many of the art nude and fashion models plus a lot of the glamour models are now there. That will draw a lot of photographers. Sites that are not places that a diverse group of models wish to remain active will start losing photographers. Modelsare generally not affected by forums as most don't go near them and most people don't get themselves into situations where they have to interact with the management so it doesn't matter too much whether the management is laid back or draconian or displays favouritsm.

PP worked out how it could get as many people as possible to sign up. Along the way that strategy will start to slow it down as some are clearly at the GWC end but I think that is inevitable anyway. PS has to think about how it can get some of those models back and using the site and the rest will follow

I think it's fair to say that nearly any model of any level of decent doesn't tend to go near forums (on any sites). Not all, of course, but I'd say that 9/10 models who are regular forumites are towards the low end of the scale. Just my view, of course.

I've only ever had a face to face chat with one model who has a forum presence and she is one of the 1/10 - a mature attitude and a good model.
