The Aurora Borealis could be visible from as far south as the Midlands tonight and possibly tomorrow night.

I went looking for them in the early hours of this morning in Tayside...not a flicker!
no show for Northern Lights....opps I named and shamed, maybe I should have just left it a bad reference ;-)

The best info I could find suggested 2:00 to 3:00 a.m. for peak activity.
There were enough breaks in the clouds to see the brighter stars but it wasn't clear enough or dark enough to pick out
anything that was definately aurora activity.

The last time I saw the A.B. was over 40 years ago and that was on Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.
