One Kent model did 200 TF shoots up to nude with the same photographer before putting up a casting for paid work. Maybe he kept telling her she was not ready.

I feel so guilty saying that to her but I promise it was so true!

You don't even need to do TF. Agents take you on based on their own snaps of you in the office. Some don't even then put you forward for testing and rely purely on the snaps. And it works. But obviously that isn't really relevant for many here as they don't even want to be represented

Although, in terms of "internet modelling", I feel the same applies. If you have the right look, you have the right look regardless of what you shot before.

A great example..... I recently got a friend their first modelling job via another site - they had zero experience, and they got paid £100 for 2 hours work. AND they kept their kit on! Wasn't even a commercial job. This friend was even A BLOKE!

That is all x

I did one Tf shoot and then started to get paid.  You will find it's the photographers who never want to pay who suggest models undertake lots of Tf shoots before they are worthy of payment.

And there's lots of them ... the technical term is 'taking the awomanatwork is a naughty person '

I dare say the majority of photographers on here might never get paid for their photographs no matter how many shoots they do, and this is especially true if they are only shooting models and they do not shoot pornography.

In some ways model photography is a bit like the purchasing of dinner and / or drinks for a young, attractive and single woman on a Friday or Saturday night; one party knows that quite often they will need to pay for the meal / drink while the other party expects as an unwritten rule that their meal / drink will be paid for just because they are young and attractive. Of course occasionally the situation might be reversed, with the pretty young thing picking up the tab, but that is usually the exception rather than the norm.

As models, in the main, are young and attractive women and photographers are, in the main, older men looking to shoot attractive young women, it should not be too difficult to spot the parallels.

Your analogy is spot on
