I get newbie models to hold/touch their collar/lapel quite often, it gives them something to do with their hands rather than having them continually dangling at their sides or the obligatory hands-on-hips, as many inexperienced models are prone to sticking to (in my experience.)
A dry sponge is a happy sponge.
