Hi everyone

Just to keep you all in the loop, I'm hoping to do some updates to the casting call section this weekend if all goes well. There are 2 main changes I will be making :-

1) replace the areas with counties
2) allow multiple locations to be added to a casting call

There will aslo be some presentation changes and I have removed propose removing the term 'Adult' and replaced it with 'Nude'. The reason for this is because I think the word Adult now implies images of sexual interaction between 2 people and some members are getting a bit confused by it.

I will be deleting casting calls that are over 6 months old as there isn't really any need for them.

I'm also doing some back end changes to speed things up a bit.

Best wishes

Matt

Isn’t changing ‘adult’ to ‘nude’ going to create further confusion?  Without getting into semantics wouldn’t something like ‘explicit’ be more appropriate?  Just a suggestion ;-)
It's not the years... it's the mileage!

I agree here...its hard enough getting models to accept that a casting is adult even if you write "THIS MEANS EXPLICIT OPEN-LEG IMAGES", they still find some way to interpret it as somehow suiting their own levels.

I'm sure changing adult to nude will lead to further confussion and give models even more licence to interpret castings to suit themselves, whatever you write, and just result in even more wasted bandwidth..
I tend to be a modest man, but then I do have a lot to be modest about.

No

I'm sure many who shoot 'adult' will make it clear in their communications what is needed but for those in the know (both experienced models and photographers alike) keeping the word 'adult' makes a very clear distinction between simply nudity and sexually explicit work.

Very helpful changes/improvements, especially the geographical. I would agree with some necessity to indicate a differential into higher levels, 'nude' , to include adult could produce some embarrassment and confusion to both models and photographers! It's just too broad a term in this context.
I think the term 'explicit' would be helpful.

Agree with the other comments.
There is a huge variety of levels that models will and wont work within both nude and adult. BUT there does seem to be a understanding that open leg and other higher levels are explicit and simple nude up to full frontal is not necessarily explicit. Not all models treat that as the level change or what they deem acceptable but blurring these two levels into one would cause confusion. It would be harder for a model to complain about level pushing and the adult shooters and adult models are going to have a tougher job attracting bookings

If you have to ask why I do it, you will never understand the reason why

Yep, removing adult castings will only increase the claims of level pushing, when you basically class art nude and porn as the same thing.

A better idea would be to make adult castings only visible to those who have ticked 'adult' on their profile, and unlink 'fetish' from adult too. Whilst fetish can be adult, many are not.

There are already too many non-adult castings marked adult, your suggestion will only make this worse, making even worse than it is already.
