You does what you does, never be pressurised into doing what you are not comfortable with.

I think Mark just about nailled it. However, if models are prepared to do the TF round, if they are good, they will get good images on their profiles and would stand a good chance of becoming one of those popular paid models. As for nude / soft adult, that is what this site is mainly known for

There are other places to get fashion work.

Yeah all the paid work is adult that's why I went into that section but you got to enjoy it to be able to do it.

Modelling seems harder and harder to get paid work now, spesh as there is so much free content online.

You can't make a living unless you do nude minium.

Same here, most work is adult but not complaining, I'm busy modelling

Just been touring Finland and there I was doing mainly art nude and glamour.

Quote from mgphotomedia
The amateur modelling market used to be predominately financed by middle-aged photographers with plenty of spare cash willing to throw money at every girl willing to show some flesh. That money kept the whole place afloat and even ensured there was a reasonable turnover of new faces for the pro adult shooters that operate here. That money has now all but disappeared leaving mainly enthusiast photographers and models who are quite happy to work together without the need for cash to change hands.

There is a small market for regular nude modelling where the models' rates are sufficiently low that the enthusiast photographer will consider them an attractive alternative to what might be regarded as comparatively onerous TF arrangements.

Otherwise that leaves adult/fetish/erotic - but even that's a fast disappearing market due to lack of money but also due to a lack of decent models willing to model at those levels.

Amateur modelling is pretty much dead in the water so far as being paid is concerned. There are a handful of popular models who, between them, pick up most of the paid work that is left. If you're not known/popular/good then it's pretty difficult getting decent amounts of paid work these days, even if you offer adult.

Largely its because most models expect to be paid, often over the odds, yet when they have an idea for a shoot they try to twist it so that they still get paid for the shoot, rather than pay the photographer for working for them!

The OP made a statement of little paid work being available for models. You say this is because they expect to be paid
You may feel models should work for even less than they currently do and should pay you rather than TFP for collaborating. How much lower do you think models pay should go?
If you have to ask why I do it, you will never understand the reason why

I tend to do mainly fashion work (catalogue images i.e. fully dressed)

I have found that

TF arrangements are utterly pointless as the models don't turn up etc...

So I always offer to pay (pay is generally about £10 to £15 per hour dependent on the job and how much work there is for a full or a half day).

But from statistics (no I don't keep a spread sheet its just what I have noticed).

Models who do nude/adult generally arrive on time are ready to work, are very professional and get the job done way under the time budgeted (& paid the full hours)

From the models who specify 'just fashion' about 30% are very professional and 70% utterly unreliable.

Using an agency helps a bit but not as much as you would think for the additional cost and the limits they put on the images.

So is it that the models who are more professional and are looking at modelling as a job more likely to decide to work to nude as thats where the money is?
