| RocketMan Photographer This member has been suspended | Hi Nikon Owners I used NX2 and have a favorite setting on an older Pc which I use for batch process. I would really like to transfer this to another PC (newer and faster) I am very unsure how to do this . Can you help Please. EG, USE sitck and then how to install , or should I try to see how I set up in the 1st place. Many Many Thanks Paul just noticed it opens and works in 16 bit yet Adobe offer 64 bit , which would be a better solution to edit images. but still very happy with NX2 to a level. |

| Photoimager Photographer Location United Kingdom Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent | Presumably you mean a settings file such as the resize & slight sharpen one that I use for web preparation. If you have let CNX2 use its default settings then, on Win XP you will find in 'My Documents' folder a Capture NX folder that will contain the settings file: C:\Documents and Settings\Will's Photo Imaging\My Documents\Capture NX\Settings Files Depending on the settings you have used you might find it in a subfolder: C:\Documents and Settings\Will's Photo Imaging\My Documents\Capture NX\Settings Files\Unsharp Mask To transfer this to another machine copy it onto a flash drive or similar and then copy it to the same folder location on the new machine. You might then need to go into CNX2 ( Edit / Preferences / Manage Settings ) to get the new installation to use it. NB: I have only transfered settings between machines with a 32 bit OS, I have not transfered between machines running different bit versions of CNX2 so I do not know if the 64 bit version of CNX2 will read the settings files from a 32 bit version. When the 64 bit version of CNX2 was released at the turn of the year I did find not having the RAM limit of a 32 bit system to breath new life into CNX2. |
