| DCox Photographer Location United Kingdom Northamptonshire | I tend to shoot at least a couple of times a week..... But I just havent for nearly 2 months. I have been away on family holiday and been busy when I have come back and just feel a lethergy towards my camera. I have done lots of other stuff: sailing, cycling, and living but just have had no urge to pick up my camera (I even carried it abroad for 2 weeks without a single click) I have thought about pictures and even got some shots and ideas......but no wish to pick up a camera A happy drought is so much better than when you cant create a decent shot but there is a small element of feeling weird about it. I have shot solidly for 5 years or so I think with a break when the kids were small. How do people feel about droughts: happy or not? Dom |

| ellieellis Photographer Location United Kingdom Somerset Taunton | I couldn't shoot for about 3 months end of last year, I felt it gave me time to reflect on what I was shooting, why I was shooting and the direction I wanted to go, when and only when I felt ready to come back I did so with a bang, I think its definitely normal to have a dry spell |

| Alan_Jay Photographer Location United Kingdom South Yorkshire | I go through similar phases and seem to have to make more of an effort to get out of them as I get older. I made a concious decision to take a break from fetish stuff as it was feeling stale, and then didn't do any of the projects I'd been putting off. I've literally just contacted a model in order to complete one of them, so I'm sure you too will find new enthusiasm soon. |

| DCox Photographer Location United Kingdom Northamptonshire | I guess I dont have a lack of enthusiasm for photography but just have spent a lot of time sailing and doing family stuff. I only took up sailing a year or so ago and I found I have just been doing it a lot over the last 2 months....there is tonnes of technical stuff to learn and skills to master...my energy space is filled with it...plus I have a much better core body strength than I get from photography!! plus I actually won a race!!! and its so much easier to judge whether you are doing well in sailing......if you are crap u sail slowly. In photography u have to know the value of your own work.....bad or good. The benchmark is easier in sailing! I will get back to it......Im thinking that if someone bought me a D800 my interest would be right back there |

| stolenfaces Photographer Location United Kingdom London West London | Surely a photographer who doesn't take photos is (by definition) a guy with camera. I really can't conceive of as much as a week without taking photos. I don't think that in 30 years, a week has passed when I haven't photographed something |
