| Hazel_Ashton Model Location United Kingdom West Yorkshire Leeds | Hello! Hope everyone is well? I am wondering if anyone could help me? I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L770 12F and upon replacing the keyboard the clip that holds the keyboard ribbon down has snapped and I cannot find one for the life of me. Can anyone help? |

| ScottishGeek Photographer Location United Kingdom Greater Manchester Salford | Hi, The clip itself in not available as a separate part as it comes as part of the socket. The best option is to try and locate a full replacement socket and carefully remove the clip to transfer it over. Is there any information on the socket that would help identify it? If you can, take a picture of it and that may Help in identifying it. I have heard of others using a variety of options that involve trimming bits of plastic to fit and glueing it in place though the results have been varied. Worst case scenario is a replacement motherboard. The difficulty in fitting varies significantly between laptop models and may even not be cost effective. |

| HowardJ Photographer Location United Kingdom Surrey | Try eBay. you might find someone who is selling a dead one for parts Alternatively take the part to somewhere like Maplin or RS components http://uk.rs-online.com and see the people who handle the orders from their catalogue. They may have an equivalent part you can buy for a few pennies as basically all computers use the same bits inside. If you take a pic of the part and the bit that has broken and email it to a few toshiba spare parts suppliers and RS components they may be able to advise you. the part probably has a number and a manufacturer on it somewhere which you can use to find a replacement you can nick the bit you need off. |
