So I guess I better buy myself a new car, however much I love my little 206 he is dying everything is going all this travelling the poor little boy has to do

But now I am not sure what car to get next...

I would love to get my dream car the TT but insurance would kill me and no one will touch me mehhh.

So next I have decided to either get, Honda Civic Type R, Astra GTC or Citreon DS3.

If anyone has one of them cars can you let me know what they are like for long journeys, motorway car and how they are for petrol and if they are reliable.

The best/most practical car would be Audi A4 but yeah I can dream...

Advice please

I have a Honda Civic Type-R - the new shape. I previously had the older shape Civic Type-R so can offer comparisons between the two if it's useful.

The new shape is a lot bigger and therefore more practical so carrying stuff. The biggest downside is the ride is very hard. I don't notice it now but was very obviously initially.

Great fun when you open it up, but you pay for the fun at the fuel pump

You must be minted cos the insurance would be pretty steep on a Type-R

Whats wrong with a Ford Focus? And consider a Diesel too!
I just got myself my Mondeo TDCi and I love it, it moves, its easy on fuel and its big enough to store at least 3 dead bodies in the boot..... isn't that how everyone judges their boot size?

All of the above cars will cost a fortune in petrol not to mention what you will pay in insurance and tax.

Had a 2L astra not the GTC but the SRI or something similar for a fortnight and it ate petrol like there was no tomorrow. Was comfortable and fast. But hungry. Will be the same for the type R

Don't know about the citreon but it looks cool.

I think it is the best looking of the three.

The honda will be the most reliable if maintained.
Not sure about the other two.
The Citroens I have driven have always been full of toys but did not feel well put together.
The Vauxhalls were all badly handling, expensive to drive or have things go wrong.

I think also the TT May require a tracker required by quite a few insurance companies.
Have a look on here as they give Details of the top stolen vehicles. Like the x5 and land rovers etc.

My caravan has a tracker as they are prone to theft.

Don't ask me I drive a Volvo estate... now that's a car you can get lots of dead bodies in.

I imagine...

When I did drive smaller hatches I had a Renault Megane Coupe and an Audi A3. I wouldn't recommend the Megane due to recurring electrical faults but would happily recommend the A3.
