| tonycsm Photographer Location United Kingdom East Yorkshire Driffield | I'm currently trying out an iPhone 3GS which my daughter gave me recently - I'm using a PAYG O2 sim for the moment from another phone I keep for emergencies and eveything so far seems to be working ok. ( except probably for my brain as I'm a bit of phone retard Currently I am using an old Sony Ericsson C902 ( again O2) as my main phone - is there a simple way of transferring the large number of contacts I have stored on my current SE phone to the iPhone 3GS? It seems most contacts are stored on a micro-SD card or whatever they call them on the Sony E but the iPhone doesn't take these cards so I'll need to copy them in some other way. Any help gratefully appreciated. |

Sorry to say it but the iPhone stores them in a different format to other phones so they won't accept their phone book or contacts. Stupid I know but it will give you a chance to sort them out and get rid of the old unused ones. |

It was a bit of a faff when I did it but all the names and numbers went across. | |

I've managed to transfer my contacts via Sony's software into Outlook but I can't seem to find a reliable way to sync the iPhone with MS Outlook contacts via iTunes? What should I be looking for in iTunes? |

| tonycsm Photographer Location United Kingdom East Yorkshire Driffield | Problem solved! Quite simple really - once I actually looked properly at iTunes. Just sync your current phone with Outlook and then sync the iPhone through iTunes and it works fine. I now have all my contacts, bookmarks and even my Outlook Calendar on the iPhone - excellent! |
