It's like they think they are better than anyone else. Yes its good to have confidence but there is no need to speak to someone in a rude manor. Put me off from working with a photographer recently peoples of the way he was talking to me, and about other people. Manners cost nothing. Bah rant over | |

As a new teenage model who shoots up to nude you are going to be inundated with hundreds of TF offers, mostly from people who are not that good at photography, but are too stingy to hire models. If they feel that their portfolio is slightly better than a new model's portfolio then they feel justified in making a TF offer and get upset when this offer is rejected and tell the model that they have a portfolio full of poor images. The quality of some photographers who pay models is a lot better than many of the cheapskates offering TF and in most cases models get a few photos from paid shoots for their portfolio as well. Obviously, your rates would need to be good to attract paid work, maybe around £20/hr to begin with up to art nude. I think you will find that dealing with people who will pay you is a lot less stressful than working with people with big egos looking for free shoots. The only caveat is that as a new model you should only work with photographers with good recent feedback you can check and it is better to be selective and choose to work with people who have a style of photography you like. |

There are always exceptions, but if forums are an indication of what people are like, this one is full of people, pro and amateur, whose help and advice is fulsome and free. In several years, I haven't seen anything such as you describe - although, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what that is. |
