| Mansell Photographer Location United Kingdom South Yorkshire Sheffield | Welcome to Purestorm! You need to start by creating a casting call for an experienced photographer in your area to work with you to create a variety of styles, with a headshot, 3/4 shots and full length. Pick a photographer who's work you like the look of and explain to him/her what it is you're hoping to achieve. Build up your experience and port, get some positive feedback then start applying for castings and take it from there. Its not going to happen overnight so stick with it, work with good people with good references, don't allow your levels to be pushed and you'll be fine. Hope this helps, good luck! |

| PB001 Photographer Location United Kingdom County Durham Peterlee | Hi, Welcome to Purestorm, I agree with Mansell, find a photographer who's work you like, have a coffee, with them, talk about what you want, how their ideas can inform and build on your ideas and then start shooting. I have noticed that you have 'paid work only' on your portfolio, admirable, but I'd change that to 'Depends on Assignment' if you can find a photographer or photographers who's work you like and who you enjoy working with, their time, work, skill, knowledge and vision is just as valuable as yours. You can benefit each other by collaborating. Don't think of TFCD as giving something away free think of it as an investment in your career. I'd love a model to ring me up one day and say "I'll pay you £100 to shoot a few images for me?" I live in hope and I've been pointing cameras at people for 35 years. On saying that....I love coffee!! P. |
