| mgphotomedia Photographer | So a while back I worked with Katie on some beauty headshots to show off my new hair. This isn't a genre I've worked in much before so it was fun to try something new. And so my question is, do these work? Is beauty work something I should do more of? As always, model crit only please ... IMHO only the second one falls into the beauty category. It works up to a point but beauty is a challenging style to do well. It's also a discipline that's open to scrutiny down to the finest detail - skin condition, make-up, hair, expression, framing, photographic exposure, post-processing etc etc. All those factors need to come together in order to produce a good beauty image and it's most often achieved by a photographic team that works well together. Yes, you should definitely do more of it. So far as your 'chapped' lips are concerned - yours are no different to what I see on plenty of other models. |
