| MikeRiot Photographer Location United Kingdom Cambridgeshire Peterborough | Well, as some of you know from the realms of facebook, I was in quite a serious car accident on Saturday. This sadly means that until I get a new car sorted, I won't be able to shoot This is totally bumming me out. Lucky for me I walked away with only a few knocks and bruises, no lasting damage and hopefully will be healed in a week or two. So, If I am a little inactive over the next few weeks, I'm sorry but I will be back and kicking ass once again soon. Mike |

| SuzyMonty Model Location United Kingdom Cornwall UK & Europe -enjoy travelling! -Published Internationally | The shock factor must be terrible. Thank goodness you walked away relatively unscathed. My car stopped dead in NW4 last week on way to top studio shoot...alternator had gone...no warning light...dread to think what would have happended on a motorway. Thankfully there was a side road to turn into - power steering had completely gone - but still able to turn wheel. Studio sent taxi for me and AA took car to garage to fit new alternator (the heart of any car). Couple of years ago hubby & I were in a minor accident with a speedo nutter...it shook us up a lot....goodness knows how you felt in a serious accident. Feel complete sympathy for you and expect you are still experiencing 'flashbacks' from what happened. All the very best... |

| Bob Photographer Location United Kingdom Nottinghamshire Newark | I just feel lost without my car Presumably you weren't insured fully comp? I was shunted from behind three weeks ago while stationary in a line of previously slow moving traffic (she was gabbing to her daughter rather than watching where she was going) and lost my car as a result of the bump. At first I thought it was only a damaged bumper, but when I filled up the tank later 35 litres of petrol spewed all over the forecourt. Indeed there was so much petrol swilling around that they had to declare it a major incident and shut the filling station. A rather cute firewomen then turned up to boss around Pugh, Pugh, Barney MGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub as they made sandcastles around my car and I also got to see a bright red shiny fire engine with lots of blue lights on it. Eventually this morning the insurance company formally wrote my banger off as not only was the tank split but the boot floor was badly distorted in the crumple zone, though in the meantime I have had a free hire car courtesy of my insurance policy. Initial cover was only two weeks, but as there was no fault on my part they have been extending the rental at no cost until the settlement comes through. With a little bit of luck I should be behind the wheel of my new (secondhand unfortunately) car by Monday. I'm really glad that I opted for fully comp with both leisure and business use covered, as I was only without wheels for about four hours. It's actually quite a sad day, as I've owned the old girl from new and she has served me well. Bob |

| flashman Photographer This member has been suspended | Mine was written off on 11th June due to flooding. Still waiting for insurance to sort it out. They gave me a Fiat 500 for two weeks but it was so small it was a choice of me and either a camera or a model, not a lot of good. Just bought a replacement so three weeks without and I know how you must be feeling. Chris |
