| tmacphotos Photographer Location United Kingdom Hampshire | NIKON D300S PROFESSIONAL DIGITAL SLR CAMERA Very good condition Brilliant quality photos, reliable, solid camera I will be sad to see this beauty go, but I've recently upgraded to the D3 and D700 full-frame, so this camera is surplus to requirements. I have been using this camera semi-professionally as a main camera for the last 2 years (purchased from new in April 2010) for over 25 weddings and this camera has been reliable, never faulted, provided excellent quality photos, and never let me down. It's got 35810 shutter actuations and is rated by Nikon to 150,000 so is just under 25% of the rated count so has loads of useful life left. The camera is in very good condition, the screen itself has no scratches and has always been protected by the plastic cover. The only slight mark of note is on the left hand side of the camera, the casing is slightly worn at the corner (picture shown) but of course, does not affect the operation of the camera. The auction is for the camera body only, battery, original Nikon strap, original box, software disc, charger. This model has some features which I miss on the D700/D3 which is the Quiet Shutter mode - it's incredibly useful to switch the quiet mode on when photographing during the ceremony or quiet moments. The D700/D3 shutters are incredibly noisy in comparison. It also has a Dual Card Slot, (one CF and one SD) so at weddings in particular it's very useful to record to both cards simultaneously for extra backup, or to put in overflow mode so the second card is used automatically after the first one fills. It also has a video recording capabilities and the automatic sensor cleaning is also very useful. Whether you use this camera for weddings, or for other photography, I am confident it will serve you well for many years to come as it's done for me.
