| Webbo2 Photographer Location United Kingdom South Yorkshire Rotherham | Grr! I trusted him without checking! It is in aRGB - which alyways appears flat if viewed in a non colour managed browser. (but why you would choose to do so I don't know) When I said I checked that it was in sRGB....I literally went as far as making sure that my camera hadn't come out of sRGB mode....so where has it changed to aRGB....surely the editing process? |

In photoshop go to edit/colour settings. In the Colour Management Policies section make sure 'Preserve Embedded Profiles' is selected in all three drop downs and all three boxes titled 'ask when...' are ticked. If you do that you'll develop a better understanding of what's happening to your images. |

If you do that you'll develop a better understanding of what's happening to your images. The drop down menus were all set ok, but the boxes weren't ticked. So now hopefully I won't have the issue in the future. Thanks for your help. |

| Webbo2 Photographer Location United Kingdom South Yorkshire Rotherham | Are you not shooting RAW? I used to shoot my studio stuff in JPEG and everything else in RAW. Now I shoot everything in RAW, but for studio shoots I convert to jpeg and edit from the jpeg unless the exposure needs tweaking. Everything else gets edited as a Raw as well. .....I wonder if it was the convert to jpeg that put them in aRGB?...... |

| mph Photographer Location United Kingdom Cheshire Crewe | .....I wonder if it was the convert to jpeg that put them in aRGB?...... That's why I asked. The camera setting for RAW is pretty irrelevant - only affects the jpeg that is produced. The conversion is where the colour space of the final image is determined. |

| Woods_Photography Photographer Location United Kingdom London | Can I add my thanks to mgphotomedia and mph. I was experiencing a similar problem but it was occuring after I had carried out adjustments to my RAW files in Photoshop. When the adjusted file was saved as a JPEG it all looked OK but when uploaded to a website the colour was washed out the same as for Webbo2. By ticking the 'ask when' boxes as suggested by mgphotomedia I discovered that when the RAW file was saved to a JPEG it was being saved as Adobe rather than RGB. A search arround the main RAW page in Photoshop revealed near the bottom of the page that I must accidentally changed the settings for the JEPG save. |

| mgphotomedia Photographer | where is the raw page in photo shop? One way (there are others): Open Adobe Bridge and navigate yo your raw file. Right click on the thumbnail image then click 'Open in Camera Raw'. |
