| DragonGraffix Photographer Location United Kingdom Hampshire Portsmouth | dragon, i just had a thought, you say click on the logo on your favourites page......it should be in your bookmarks bar in the window, rather than on a separate menu. I think that could be the issue as its just taking you the the webpage. You should have the page with your images up, then just click on the ?¿ src-img link straight on that page. it should not be in any menus or anything like that ! Thanks. It is actually on the favourites bar and not a separate menu??? |

| corbystock Photographer Location United Kingdom Hampshire New Milton | I am having problems with this in IE. I tried to use the resource posted on the forum, draged it to my favourites bar as it suggested. When I am on a page of my images which I know are on other peoples websites and I click on the ?¿ src-img on the favourites page it only takes me to the ?¿ src-img webpage and not to questionmarks on images as it should????? May I ask whether I am doing anything wrong here? Any help would be appreciated! I get similar to the above. Fire Fox works fine on the lap top but not the desk top so it must be down to the settings on each machine. If i get a chance later i'll try to compare the two machines. I hovered over the link after i put it in bookmarks & i'm pretty sure it said something about 'Java' so maybe that could have something to do with it. |

| geoffpix Photographer | Damn...none of my stuff seems to be worth stealing I've been using this for many months, before that manually dragging small jpegs into Google images, and what you see is only a periodic snapshot of the images that may have been used (or stolen). Just because there's nothing showing at the moment doesn't mean it wouldn't have shown up a week or two ago. I use this every day on a subset of images from one aggregator stock collection and results drop out of the search periodically. Not much fun seeing how much work is nicked by sites in Russia, Iran and especially Vietnam...chances of getting any recompense.....ZERO. Trust me, there's nothing more frustrating to see an image being pinched regularly in territories that have no comeback regarding IPRs. |

Oh - I don't know - it's better than no-one wanting them at all! Being serious - as those people would never dream of paying under any circumstances you don't actually lose anything so probably best just to look at it as a compliment. |

Being serious - as those people would never dream of paying under any circumstances you don't actually lose anything so probably best just to look at it as a compliment. I get enough compliments, only I call them cheques Seriously I find the biggest issue is that a certain number of the people who pinch these images (usually from my Getty images - crap watermark placement) then go on to put them on photo-sharing sites. Thankfully Google Images is very good at finding them and the sites usually compliant with DMCA or their own takedown notices. The silver lining to this is that the images which are pinched in volume give me a very good trend idea in terms of future production, if nobody is stealing an image then I know that the content or concept really hasn't hit the sweet spot. However when Imagerights do get a Russian lawyer to act for them I will be only too happy to forward a many a URL for them to pursue... Geoff. |
